TBF - Was he the actual assistant coach to IM? TBH i'm not sure,either way, I wouldn't personally have IM for the head coach job at Leigh.

How many "caretaker" coaches, or those who have been promoted from within have gone on to keep the job, in any sport you care to think of?
.There are not to many, best I can think of was many nany years ago being Bob Paisley at Liverpool.

If our number 1 target is Watson we basically say our ambition is to get promoted and then just remain in Super League. In answer to an earlier comment about who could come in and wouldn’t accept DB interference. Tony Smith. He’s the only coach I see hard enough to manage this team and some backbone. Like or loathe him. He gets the job done. He’s my number one choice.

DB won't get a top coach because he won't be able to manipulate him, and a top coach won't put up with DB. Unfortunately, DB may have the finances but his ego is also the problem. A club should be about the team and the coach. Ours is all about the owner. We have already lost 3 games and can't afford to lose anymore. This needs sorting very quickly before a top 4 spot is out of our reach. We have Fev, Fax and London within the next 5 games. If we don't win those 3 games then we can forget about Middle 8s.

A top/bottom coach won't resolve the half back situation. People keep having a pop at Reynolds and the answer they came up with was Mortimer at 6. Thats now a proven dire option. 7 at the moment isn't doing a thing.

We need a combo half back pairing. The only way thats going get sorted is with further investment. 5 hookers is just not economically viable given the size of the squad. Something has to give. But certainly not an overnight fix.

Atomic , Hutchy is the biggest scrum half I have ever seen, and he doest take the line on like he should, neither does Reynolds, ,leaving us with a blunt attack, hopefully a new guy will come in tell Derek to zip it,and get on with sorting the team out,before its to late.Most Clubs have an Owner, but you never hear about them, we have Derek.

Wev'e been spoiled with Riddy. He could pair up with any player and make them look good. Cos they understood each other.even Travis Burns looked good when fit with Riddy Jamie Ellis was outstanding with Riddy. Then of coursre Ryan and Riddy Drinkwater Reynolds with Riddy so our problem is the one that was allowed to let get away or released by whoever made the decision Heres to Riddy hope he's not too hard on us this week with his new partner

If it's true the rumours it's a big wage of the salary cap and I'd look to bring in a dominant halfback the takes control and is the leader on the park

Well I'm sure there's lots of them floating around wishing to play champ rugby at this stage of the season

Every team has one only us unless ours was just playing to orders so we'll see if there's a change now purtills in charge

Baptiste is the highest paid player in the squad so releases a big chunk of the salary cap and a quota spot for later in the season. Higham has also signed a contract that is considerably lower than his last playing contract, so we will have a fighting fund if needed. Just need the fans to get behind the tea now.

Hopefully that tea is bought in the stadium, and not in a smuggled-in flask?

What's Drinkwater doing?

Whoops! Must admit I did smuggle a flask of hot Oxtail soup in with me last Sunday and boy was it needed. Top tip for any budding smugglers, look out for a small thin flask, just enough room for a tin of soup (Or fluid of choice), big puffer jacket and slip the flask down one arm of the jacket, bingo, contraband smuggled in.
