You're right, they must have been knackered having their feet up in front of the telly on Good Friday while we were getting a runaround against Barrow

| I'd hardly describe this squad as complacent after the conditions it has been working under for the last 4 months.

| Somehow that does not fill me with confidence.
Ah well I am sure one or two Leythers will get me a pint just to pay me back for my generosity to them before and after our game with Toulouse.

FB&B, do you really, honestly deep down think Ian Millward and the Leigh squad are guilty of complacency??? Cos I don't. Not a bit of it.
Millward is an experienced and shrewd coach and has a proven track record for winning.
He will have this squad as well prepped and geared ready for the game as Daryl will have rovers squad. I just can't see complacency anywhere in their season so far. They'll more than likely finish second behind us - on points diff. We caught Toulouse with injuries the week that it was announced they were jackin it in in the championship and duly got slaughtered at Fev giving us a game with a +80 scoreline that we couldn't have dreamed of.
In the final analysis, that may well be our break that handed top spot to us. And that's how close it is!!! No way will they be complacent.

Agreed, and i did point it out to fevbornnbred on our forum. Millwards too canny for that. As for our next two games against each other, yes i do believe we'll meet in the final. I remember last year. We walloped Fax 3 times and i was confident going into the final. I was still confident in the final when 18 points in front. The rest i prefer not to think about. So any fans from either side who say they are very confident is living in a dream world. This is going to the wire. And personally i can't wait. See you all at Dewsbury, i'll be stood with a big chubby ginger guy. I'll be the one surrounded by half naked fijian girls. They will be rolling my cigars on their naked inner thighs. oooooer missus.

| Fev and Leigh are both obviously beltin sides. Fev have been amazingly consistent at this level over two seasons now and despite being hammered at Leigh in the Northern Rail group stages last year and coming up short in terms of winning the Grand Final and the Northern Rail, they obviously had the edge over Leigh last year. This season, I believe that Leigh have the slight edge so far. Obviously, Leigh have only lost one game at this level of rugby in the entire season. They won every single group game in the Northern Rail and then of course won the trophy, so never lost in that competition. Both Leigh and Fev played top five sides in the challenge cup. I think Fev lost 70 0 and I think Leigh lost about 22 16. At this level, Fev have I think lost about three games and Leigh have lost one. Fev have also not managed to beat Leigh this season and would have perhaps found the Easter Monday encounter more challenging, had they too only had just 2 full days rest prior to that. Fev fans will naturally point to the fact that they had injuries in the opening match of the league campaign and Leigh fans to the fact that they had injuries in the Easter Monday match and had had very limited rest, whilst Fev players had had their feet up. Both are probably valid arguments. However, what was impressive about Leigh, was that they still did not lose the match and if anything, remarkably, looked fitter and fresher than their opponents, going into the final quarter of the match. Fev are the benchmark as they have been consistent over a longer period than other teams and I would love Leigh to be able to replicate what they have achieved next year. I admire Powell as a coach and I really admire the honesty of the Fev team and their work ethic. Leigh and Fev set an example to many Super League teams in that respect. As many people have said, there is not a lot between the teams and the forthcoming encounters should be crackers. Both sides have faced adversity during the season, in terms of injuries and bans for key players and of course Leigh's off field issues have been well documented. All that is of course just part and parcel, unfortunately of rugby league.

although this is from a Leigh perspective (as mine was from Fev's), this is a good post.
I suspect that this debate will go on regardless of who wins the GF!!! Absolutely nowt between the two teams.

RFF complacency is probably too strong a word so I accept that, but we beat Halifax 3 times last year and Im sure that we (the team) went into that game with a little part of us thinking that it was going to be easier than it was, by virtue of what had gone before interms of results....its human nature !...
I would probably have been better using the term over confident due to previous results rather than complacency.
I dont doubt Millward and his side are a cracking team but I don't buy into the theory that we can not beat them.
Just my opinion and everyone is welcome to it. and is worth buggger all boys but its an opinion non the less.........

| We can all debate the pro's and con's of each team, but how good would it be if the final at Wire is Leigh-Fev, both fully fit and a full house?
Bet the bookies would have the handicap at scratch.
