To be fair my understanding is that Fridays are far better from a corporate point of view (can't see corporate working on a Saturday night TBH), and as such an opportunity for creating much needed revenue.
Can't see it being a winner from an attendance point of view - from a personal point there will be little or no chance of me making Friday night games. If it drags new people in then all well and good, but I've a horrible feeling it's likely to push more of the regulars away - hope I'm wrong

Maybe it has, but it's probably the most important topic this season - no fans, no club....
and I for one am devastated that I won't be able to make most games this season.

Like a few have mentioned,saturdays seem a more logical choice as sky tend to have the blockbuster match on a friday night and saturday tends to be the run of the mill game.

So any one know if we have loads of corperate lined up from our first friday night match,surely these people plan well in advance and don't make there mind up two days before kick off?

If not we could be looking into the abyss come the height of summer

Sky are moving Saturday coverage to a Monday are they not?

Yes they are as the 'Monday Night Football' is possibly their most lucrative slot in terms of advertising.

Just a certain number of TV games during the football off-season.

There is a reason why teams don't play on Saturday nights..... The corporate sales are worse than on Sundays and the attendances tend to be poor.

I will answer for Mish, no the radio team are not venturing down to the capitol, but the video team is.

Maximising income streams are what it's all about we must play when they are judged or proven to be the best for the clubs future not to satisfy a few fans who are stuck in a time warp, if the best time is shown to be 3pm on a Sunday then so be it but alternatives must be explored. Move forward and prosper stand still and die.

Sorry for not answering earlier but Fred is right, we won't be broadcasting the game unfortunately.

No Tony I haven't the time during the game to monitor the radio side of the broadcast though if we do have a broadband connection I may well try a steaming video feed via Justin.tv, cant/wont promise anything but will see when we get there.

Didn't the club say the only reason we are playing Fridays was something to do with Swinton and the pitch ?

If the club are honest with the reasons (no reason to doubt otherwise) then I'm sure it will be Sundays 3pm all next season, unless of course they look into the potential of a Saturday evening kick off (or Fridays this season somehow prove to be a massive hit).
