Salford have now also set off by coach for Sundays Game with the Catalan Dragons they are catching the 3am ferry, that doesnt make their chances very good of making the next round does it.
Our team are just boarding the ferry at Dover as we speak.

they were only getting on the euro tunnel at 9.30 this morning. They got to the hotel at 1am this morning. they are not having agood time of it at the moment.

Think your timings are out a touch....French time at your posting was 7.51pm...google maps state 7 hrs 17 mins to limoux. So they will reach the hotel no more than 12 hours before kick off. Think this may backfire big style, heroic or not

Regardless of fixture pile ups, this game should have been postponed along with all others involving european teams. RFL should have made this decision yesterday.

They will call a meeting for next Wednesday and report back early June.

Maybe this act of God may finally make the RFL see sense and kick the Frogs into touch once and for all.

This is an act of nature that won't happen again in our lifetime.

We should have more French teams in the league. They are absolutely rugby league mad in the SW of France. It is just like the M62 corridor. We should be joining forces and dropping the London fiasco. I would keep the Skolars and aid development there but Harlequins have had their chance and it aint going to happen despite all of the hard work put in by everyone down there.

Here are my thoughts for what they are worth:

Replace franchising with P&R after 2012

Drop Harlequins asap.

Replace Harlequins with Toulouse. Can you imagine the interest and the crowd for a derby between Toulouse and Catalans.

Keep Crusaders and SW Scorpions going but give them a 5 year plan to grow and if it isn't going to happen, then drop them.


Merge the ambitious teams from the French RL with the ambitioius teams from the Chamionships.

2 rugby league mad areas, plus a chance for league to grow in Wales. We would be taken more seriously with having European leagues in both SL and the Championships.

I was all against French teams until I visited Toulouse and investigated rugby league in general in the SW France area.

Together, we will all be stronger and RL will be the winner.

Maybe they should just have more french teams in there own league. Can you imagine the attendance for the CC final at wembley when two french teams get there. Or the attendance at the GF when two french teams get there.e

Make British rugby stronger, not european. British League for british leagues, french teams for french leagues. Or maybe if Leigh are never going to get SL we should join the French league.......there, you see how ridiculous this all is

If that is the case, and I agree with you, the matches should surely have been postponed.

There is no way any team can play to their normal standard after a journey like that.

There is also the effect of the journey back. Nearly certainly no flights then.

I would stay over for 3 or 4 days until the cloud blows away.

RyanAir suspended all flights until Monday at the earliest Snowy so I think that'd be looking doubtful. From what I've been told, the team will be setting off 2-3 hours after the game on Saturday so should be back in Leyth for late on Sunday.
