Maybe marwan is in for him. Check the advance racing declarations for a horse named Sam Barlow. I noticed he had named one of his horses rangi chase which appeared in the racing lists long before the odficial announcement came. Cash and the arrogance to go with it.

Bracek would be a superb signing for any team in this division. That was my comment about a year ago.

I interpreted Bracek being mentioned above in the context of being officially (note officially) announced as a Leigh signing.

Anyway, the lesson here is that at a time when we are lauding a new wave of professionalism and skills at the club, we need to be much more diligent when timing and releasing official information on signings or risk further embarrassment.

Ahh that one yes it was thought that he would get a visa as he was an 'international' unfortunately the Immigration people do not count the 'Australian Aborigines' team as an International one.

Its not like back in say 1991 where a quite young GFB found out about Fax signing a certain GB prop, who would go on to be a Fax legend, by the local rag coming through the door at 5pm and been like OMFG. Given the internet gossip does tend to get out quite a bit quicker nowadays and a lot of it is usually on the mark if you look in the right places.

But gossip is all it is, as long as the club sticks with " No Comment "

I think Fax signed Marcus St Hillaire and he played a pre season game before buggering off to Bradford.

Then not to mention the non signings of Micky Higham, Heremeia(sp), and Tea Ropati.

The Halifax conduct in the Micky Higham saga was laughable.

When 'signing' Micky from Leigh they did not value him very highly at all and offered Leigh no more than £2,000.

A couple of weeks later they were suddenly chasing St.Helens for over £100,000 in compensation

I think we did the same for Donlan and Rowley though earlier. Got a cracking deal there both went on to be fantastic players for Fax and Rolo the best hooker I have seen play for us.

PS Dont think AH was the player in question though.
