Demon is right when he says quite a lot was discussed on the interviews on Leigh TV so some of the info you want might be in those various interviews but you may need to join Leigh TV (£3.50) to see those interviews, pretty sure the local press will carry some of what was said though so might get it from the Reporter / Journal websites.

Someone jumped to a massively wrong conclusion, for which he has apologized. Unfortunately it has become quite a damaging mistake. Anybody really thinking about it for a second would have realized $1.8M was never going to be the right number. In addition, the error was corrected by about 6 people later down the thread and the information is readily available on the official site.

If you want to know why you get peoples backs up - simply look at the tone of your posts and the attitude of entitlement and arrogance that they convey.

IMO They got it wrong big time with their first two managerial head coach positions.

Given Paul Terzis's true holistic approach to the club (appointed by SCLs predeccessors) their first coaching appointment was a disaster.

A head coach needs to do much more than just train and pick the team these days. Wether it's dealing with the BOD, Commercial sponsors, ever increasing media requirements or engaging supporter, Terzis fully embraced that ideology. All a stark contrast from Abram which IMO caused division within the club at all sections.

The second appointment was also a big blunder for differing reasons as the club had invested heavily in a quality full time squad in 2006 but overlooked the necessity for a recognised experienced coach to take control of players in a FT environment. His services rightly had to be dispensed with but the damage had been done just as the draw bridge was being pulled up by the RFL.

These were of course not the only reasons but they were major contributory factors. All IMHO.

I still maintain that Turk was sacked 3 years to early IMO. No one could have done a superior job than him against SL standard FT squads in 2002 and 2003 and he ensured we were easily the closest challengers to both. The irony is that those obstacles were fully removed in 2004 as all clubs in the league were PT:

Turk would have thrived in the FT environments of 2005 and 2006 and who knows what he could have gone on to achieve with us.

Anyway its all irrelevant now.
