For the near 20 years I've supported Leigh, Salford, Cas and Wakefield have generally always been the league above us (and sometimes more) so why wouldn't a player or coach find a move there more attractive? I'm not saying it won't change at some point in the future, and that's something we've got to look to achieve long-term, but it's hardly a recent phenomenon, is it?

It might never change, but that doesn't mean we stop trying to grow as a club. As I said, they've been at least a league above us for the majority of the past 20 years so it's not unexpected. It wasn't exactly a long time since Halifax was seen as a step up from Leigh, was it?

Leigh in SL, after a few years staying there would get bigger crowds than Salford or Wakey or Quinnbroncos. So why should we not aspire to that at least?

SL clubs lost about 8 million quid between them in 2010, so we wouldn't be alone. I reckon losses for 2011 will be greater, some single backer clubs may find their backers getting fed up........so we wouldn't be alone

3 years of SL money whilst being financially astute would leave us in a better position than some. Do you think we could average 5k in SL if we had a sniff off the playoffs? I think so.

This just gets better and better, from what i have been told tonight both blackmore and adamson ( who has paid his own way over here ) are both in the country and are due to be interviewed by millward on our behalf in cas this week ???

The question should be asked if Adamson and Blackmore are so good,why didn't IM take them to Castleford in preference to the inexperienced (coach) Stu.Donlan ?

Could it be IM doubts that a new stadium will become available to Castleford - they lose their Super League Licence - and this leaves him the opportunity to return to Leigh ?

It doesn't suggest much ambition for the 2 to be interviewed - unless it is as earlier suggested - just a stepping-stone for them.

I doubt very much Ian is interviewing, isn't he in Australia?

Secondly Stu Donlan will be on considerably less than either Richie or Matt as Leigh's head coach!

Thirdly with player recruitment in full swing I would hope our coach has chosen most if not all players to sign which should mean we already have one VISA permitting!
