Because Neil Kelly didn't put enough emphasise on it - and when Rowley tried to get our players fit mid-season, it only served to get the players injured as they left too much in the gym. The real fitness work needs doing pre-season (or when playing no games).

That's purely conjecture, because I don't have inside info - but it seems to be a perfectly logical explanation. If Rowley knows anything, then he knows fitness.

Well it is pretty straightforward really.

I remember a LISA meeting last season and Paul saying the club desperately needed a gym.

Our players work and if you were a member of a gym you would not take kindly to a RL team coming in 3 nights a week for training.

This season we do have a gym and that is why you can see the difference.

The Watcher thinks the reason for our much improved fitness is a very simple one...we have a much much much improved coach who is respected (because he knows what he is on about) by all the players.

Word is spreading. Reckon we need to kick on with verse two on Thursday though.

I think things will develop in to a group of twirlers and a group of twiddlers, Starbug. And that's just the North Stand

probably wouldn't be able to get one done in time for the widnes game but a giant flag being passed around over the fans heads would look great on tv and if others would be willing to join in i'll happily make a contribution

Twiddling is the oldest form of scarf "twirling" or whatever it is you young uns call it these days .

Has been attempted previously to pass the Murphy flag along the crowd just before the teams come out, but the Leyth habit of getting in to the ground at one minute before kick off doesn't completely lend itself to the idea
