No one has broken any rules so no one will be banned nor will the thread be locked.

Thank God this forum is still independent and a place where everyone is allowed an opinion regardless of whether it follows the party line or not.

I will tell you why the fans forums are important, a couple of years ago when the club was struggling it was the fans forums that brought everyone together and was the start of getting the club back on the right track.

Now the club is on sounder footing it now seems a retrograde step and a pity to exclude a section of fans to future meetings unless they pay. The money isn't the issue (to me) it's the message it sends out to the fans who have to pay.

As far as poop stirring this is not the case. It is my opinion on a decision that affects a large section of fans and as such is worthy of discussion on an independent forum.

Does anyone on this thread think LISA shouldn't have their own independent meetings? For example a LISA members meeting?

Just trying to flip this thread as some seem to think a fans forum that's turned into a LISA meeting and therefore only LISA members can attend is a disaster so what about LISA meetings for LISA members??

Hi Pat, when we set up LISA we never restricted meetings to members only, just voting. We sold it as a vehicle for fans to get on board with to make a difference to the fortunes of the club, that platform was initially to bring in extra players once the club had spent its budget because as fans we knew that players on the paddock were needed if we were to have any ambition to get out of the dark place we were in

Any organisation will evolve as times and needs change, it is up to the LISA members to determine its future by understanding the clubs needs at any given time and deciding if it wishes to support them or to follow an alternate direction it feels will benefit the club more

From day 1 LISA members got fringe benefits, dining places in the Hilton Lounge every game was one and discounts at corporate members another but the biggest benefit a LISA member got was feeling they were making a difference - and long may they feel that way because they have

Dick/LISA, while you are asking pertinent questions perhaps you would answer one for me, "why was I banned from the Banter Page". If you have any difficulty perhaps you could ask your new LISA committee persons who moderate the Facebook Group. I didn't break any Facebook rules but if you want a clue, I had an opinion on the Sponsorship thread that didn't coincide with popular opinion. You will recall the one, it was started by Andy, hi-jacked by the BOD and then pulled. Obviously it is independent isn't it?

Personally , I cant believe all the In -house sniping that is going on the moment , we have just ended our Finest season and successful run of games probably in our History , and we are now having pops at LISA one of the Life Bloods of the Club , its crazy .

I don't think anyone can argue about LISA's goals and ideals , so it must be down to personality clashes which I can never understand , I have said on many occasions that if the Club had another 6 Dick Jones we would be in a much better position , we ALL know she works her socks off for this Club , I myself wouldn't have been able to raise any Funds for the Club without her , and long may she continue as a LISA member .

I don't believe in Censorship of Fans opinions either , unless they are offensive , in the Past I myself have been banned and still am from one Forum because I made a comment another Clubs Moderator didn't like , I think its time for Leigh Fans to Unite , get ready for next season , and remember Clowns don't know everything .

But why would you want to go to a meeting?
I joined to ensure that my cash went to the club in a way I could help control at a time the clubs finances were in a mess.
If people want fans forums then they should get of there s and organise them not moan because Lisa officials only organise Lisa meetings.
On a desperate matter where are all the people in the know who said Ryan Hampshire was signing?

Dereck stated last thursday that all fans forums/LISA meeting will be members only, he was wrong as it wasnt his call to make, that decision ( in LISA s case ) is the committe's

If the club decide to have joint fans forums under a LISA banner then a decusion will be made then
