We again see irregularity in certain areas of the game. I’ve seen Referees (more senior ones) this season call “held” as soon as momentum is stopped stood up with many fans and pundits calling it not tackled.

It is a thin line but we are not in a sport where we can throw the towel in to make the Referees decision for him/her. It’s down to the referee’s judgement.

Some in my eyes are basically calling it too late and the reason these citing’s come about. The more senior referees tend to call it early (rightly or wrongly) which eradicates situations as above and keeps the game flowing.

Most of these fast-tracked Referees need to go back to the classroom and learn the basic fundamentals of the game again. That way we cut out inconsistency in all departments.

He earned the man of the match award but also earned his ban.

I thought the RFL were quite lenient with him. Could easily have been 2 games looking at the footage.

Also very lenient with Danny Brough. Like I've said, there's a very fine line between what's 'legal' and what isn't . At pace, there's not much time to ensure getting it right. I'm still surprised so few players get charged!

I wouldn't suggest any bias by the Disciplinary - like you say, they've been lenient. I'd love to know how closely the review panel watch every minute of every game! Perhaps Acton and Brough need to become less physically 'obvious'!

I've said many times he gets unfair treatment from the RFL. He takes a lot of punishment too but just gets on with it! After the Salford match he had a real shiner on his cheek, he didn't get that from 'playing the ball' !!
I was annoyed at Saints to see Percival tackle Higson around the head, Higson looked to be 'knocked out' before hitting the ground and, subsequently released the ball. The Medics came on treated Adam and, the decision was? Knock on

I don't get the "RFL have it in for us" that gets spouted. Every ban that he has got has been justified. I know it is difficult to take the rose tinted glasses of when it is our club, but we have to just dust ourselves down and get on with it. The majority of the negativity that surround the club emanates from fans. Remember, negativity breeds negativity. The more our fans spout it the more it will affect the players confidence. The coaching staff haven't created a siege mentality against the RFL the fans have. The coaches are trying to build the lads' confidence but it will be difficult when they are surrounded by all this negativity.

They are trying damned hard to improve Jamies discipline, but people blaming everyone but Jamie is making the coaches job harder.

Firstly, I wasn't referring to this current ban because not having attended or seen the match (through Holiday) I can't comment on this incident, well I could, but, I'd be like many on here who comment but haven't seen the incidents and don't go to the game! now that's negativity!!
Jaimie's Ban from the Salford game (in the eights) was wholly unjustified, [ufour games [/ufor pushing an opponent in the back with your hands? Incident not seen by officials and fans, only the review panel!!
Gregg Mc only got two for pushing the Ref and, Widnes player Houston flattened Phil Bentham and got nothing!!
Also in the MPG HKR V Salford Rovers player Campese, whilst chasing a kick pushed Salford's 'Niall' ? in the back and got nothing! I could go with these comparisons forever however, that would be negative

Indeed it would negative. I'm glad you have seen the light. Come over to the positive corner, you'll be amazed how much it will improve your outlook on things.

Could have been more than that..He got away with the first charge due too un- inclusive video evidence.

Of course it's all down to Jamie, in the end. And I believe he and the coaches are working darned hard with him, to get things right. I believe the disciplinary process, rather than any negativity on here, could knock a player's confidence, if he is being constantly 'referred', when he is trying his utmost to get it right. I reckon Jamie was hugely responsible for turning around what was rapidly becoming a lost cause on saturday, and still reckon he will become an England international. I will make a couple of points though:-

1. There is a very fine line, in an extremely physical game, played at great pace, between getting the tackle 'right' or 'wrong'. Jamie is a strong physical lad, who gives everything and, as such, is bound to get it wrong occasionally. The RFL Disciplinary has probably taken that on board and given him a lenient sentence.

2. My other point is about the 'review panel' who are supposed to be scrutinising every game and making referrals to the Disciplinary body. Considering how many SL players participate each weekend, I am frankly surprised at how few (including other Leigh players) are not accused of stepping over that line, between 'right' and 'wrong'. I am not shouting "bias", more "inconsistency".

I don't mean to appear negative. My glass is still half full, despite the current slump in form. I believe the players who lead us to those three victories, are more than capable of turning things around, if we can get them all back on the pitch.

Ah well, it should all be about opinions on here. Who knows which is right, eh?!

Yes they were all justified. Each of the incidents you mentioned were different. The panel that reviews all charges are made up of an ex player, ex referee and a Lawyer hence the impartiality. To say they have it in for him is plain wrong.

No ex-referees on the panel, two ex-players and a chairman from the legal profession.
