Still a strong team and probably a good idea to give Riddy and Higham a breather before next week as both have played some minutes this season with Riddy in particular playing through the pain barrier early in the season which will have taken its toll towards the end.
Pleased to see Smith back in the squad.
I’ve no doubt Batley will see the changes and use it as motivation, they have a good record v Leigh but we have rotated the squad all season thus if we play for the full 80 minutes we should have enough in the tank.
Need a win to end the home season on a high and take all the positivity right through the summer before next seasons battles against many old enemies commence.

their half backs are as good as any in the championship ,I think we look a bit weak there

If Burns is fit he will rip.up Batley no problem and Ben Reynolds is a top young player those two will outplay the Batley two no problem.on the back of our pack..Tomorrow will see Centurions play a expansive game I predict we will score 40 at least

Totally agree, Reynolds has been pees poor whenever he's played and Burns, what's he ever done except lead NRL and SL clubs around the park

Whilst Ridyard and Drinkwater is obviously our strongest combo I think Burns and Reynolds will go well.

Burns is likely playing his last game for the club and Reynolds his last game of the season.

Both should be fired up and wanting to show what they can do.

Although the downside is I am guessing they have never played together before?

Looking forward to our last game against Leigh for sometime I suppose. We've had some good games in recent years and stand 1 - 1 in this season so it will be interesting to see how the game pans out especially in front of a very noisy Leigh crowd!

Reynolds is average at best (stats will confirm that and I'd be surprised if he gets a game in 2017 for Leigh Centurions) and Burns has absolutely no affinity to the club and his bags are already packed - why would you play him when you're promoting the club and players to such a huge audience? Fingers crossed Jukes has plans to play Paterson and Smith somewhere in the halves at some point during the game.

I have absolutely no doubt Leigh will win, the logical point is, Leigh rugby club has an opportunity to showcase their product to the biggest targeted market in years and in the flesh, so it makes sense, does it not to put forward their best product and personalities to engage with their potential market, making a connection which equals a BIG kerching? In layman's terms; Ridyard and Drinkwater displaying incredible rugby skills as seen in the first half last week. That would convert many lost supports into buyers as I'd suggest they are the most intelligent and skillful rugby halfback combination (working seamlessly in synergy) at Leigh in 20-30 years.

Looks like Jukesy is trying to win the middle 8's , Leeds play Sunday and will probably have best side out against Hudds. With only a 3 day break and many of ours well rested it could be a cracker on Thursday. Anyone know prize money for 1,2,3 in this comp.?

Two things:-

1. Neil has stated that some have been playing with injuries.
2. He has also stated that he wants to play some of the guys who have been training their whatsits off, these past few weeks of the Qualifiers, but not getting any game time. To that end, I expect two of the regular forwards to make way for Spencer and Fash. Half a dozen 'fresh' guys may just give a tired team a considerable boost, against another tired team.
