great effort from the lads today and the defense was spot on. That Batley side has some big old players too

Wish I could have been there, looking forwards to watching on CTV hopefully at some point. Proud of them for going out after yesterday's meeting and playing their heart out, reminds you why we love this game, despite all the faults.

When you think we had Maden Pownall Taylor Aspinwall Goulden Finnigan Penky ect all out injured the result is even more outstanding it just shows what pride passion and the willingness to put your body on the line can do the lads today played like their lives depended on not letting Batley score some of the defence from the lads left Batley looking totally battered near to the end a MASSIVE hats off to the Centurions for that display and to score some nice try's has well the last one was top class attacking rugby finished off by Ryan B .. Agreed the players were brilliant today & did us proud giving nothing less than 110% from the first minute till the last

Parker was outstanding today as was the whole team but I'm sure people will agree Rob is the best captain we could have a true leader & a true Leyther through & through

I thought Brierleys try set up by Riddy & Gardner was the try of the game absolutely cracking

According to the love rugby league website stats not only did Ryan Duffy play today so did John Duffy

An absolutely brilliant display today and I pity anyone who missed it because if you did you missed a belter. From the moment our boys walked on to the pitch and clapped the speccies I knew we were in for a treat.

I'm so proud of every one of them and from the bottom of my heart, I'd like to say a massive thank you to them all.

I thought Martyn came close to MOM today. He made Ryan's try with his break. He just needs the rest to be on his wave length and we will rip this league apart. Out first try was a joy to see. Our pack was half the size of theirs and we kept them out. Thomason is a joke. Like I said the worst type of ref. Blind and whistle happy.

I liked the slight change when the players ran out to applaud the fans before the game. That gave an immediate lift. Keep it up Leythers and the improved crowd of 1635 was also encouraging.

Hard to say how many Batley brought - there were a smattering in both stands, but they weren't particularly vocal.....but then, they had nowt to shout about!!



Fantastic display today - all the more so in the circumstances!
A captain's 'knock' from Rob to earn MOM plaudits, although personally I thought Hoppy edged it!! The lad was immense, and all but unplayable at times!!






It's hard to single players out in a performance like that - the very epitome of a team display - but I feel Thornley is due a 'mention in dispatches' too. For me, he summed up the 'backs to the wall' nature of our defence today, and was tackling everything that moved!!

As has been said elsewhere, one word sums up our feelings after a display like that - PROUD!!!









Let's hope the off the field nonsense can be resolved soon - these lads deserve to be treated right!! And I still reckon, if the essence of that display can be summoned up again in the coming weeks and months, that we can yet have a huge part to play in the second half of the season!!

I also thought Stu Littler again played out of his skin, but Stu does it week in week out and it's taken or granted. Happy TV Boy this morning. Very bloody happy.
