Charlie hates to say this , but im worried about Thursdays game after seeing the players we have out suspended and not available , the Bullfrogs are a very stubborn side and will be hard to beat ,Cmon you Leythers do us PROUD .

As for myself i will possibly need a good Hydrotherapthy Session , followed by a Rub Down with a Sporting Life to prepare for the game , i may even need a drink from Mr B himself and will be in the Goose around 5.00pm ready to distribute Forcast Comp sheets dont be shy to approach me and offer a drink , i never refuse drinks .

Well Nico has just posted on facebook that he isn't in the team, apparently we are 'going with experience'. Maybe we will see Riddy and Brierly start as halfbacks? With Duffy and Beswick switching at hooker?

I think then Beswick at 9 Duffs at 7 and Brierley on the bench. We will find out soon.

For the pack props I would start with Bibey and Parker. Second row Taylor and Goulden loose Briscoe. Bench Hopkins Ostick Worrincy and Brierley.

I would ordinarily agree Frank but I maintain it's a big ask for a hooker to do 80 minutes in the modern game. There again, that would then mean relying on Brierley to do a full 80 if rotating Beswick and Duffy at 9.

Agreed Matt but Duffs does not have to do the same amount of tackling at 7 but if we do not have Nico' for myself that would be the best way. Mind you like ALL Leythers I rate Ryan very highly so would be delighted for him to do a full game but he is only just getting over flu which I am told drains your energy ? I never get flu these days (true) as I got it once in the sixties. It lasted for 2 days and for those 2 days I remember how drained I was. Guess I was lucky.

Does this mean we are going to play a player who is in recovery from flu over a fit one..? That really doesn't sound right to me. I don't care how tallented they are.

No it doesn't it means we will have to see the announced squad.

Paul is in charge he sees and talks to all our players. He has to make the decisions. All we do on here is come up with our personal prejudices' but we have no inside knowledge about particular players fitness after our team's final final training session before a game.

I think its a mistake to drop Nico IMHO..........been 1 of the best players so far - if not our best.

Good decision PR , we need get duffs and bob playing at 9, and hopefully will see a full game out of Brierley , nico is ok in games against the likes of hunslet and Gateshead but now this is were we need to start gettin the season off to a top start let's put a marker down for next week, with duels we have this season we have sum class and our pack is looking really mean and impressive this could be the start of a great season, would be tempted to give deano a run a FB see what he can do with the ball in space cause he ain't doing much on wing for me

Nico has been good so far and if we rotate players we will keep them fresh as we have a small squad. Nico will be back next game no doubt.

We could start with duffs at 7 , riddy 6 , bob at 9 and then switch at for last 30 mins duffs for brierley
Or we could start Brierley at 6, duffs at 7 , bob at 9, riddy on bench and coming in second half for duffs or brierley.
or we could have riddy 6 breierley 7 and duffs and bob rotating hookers, over to you Paul Rowley.

Have we announced a team or squad yet? We have been putting a 18/19 man squad online a couple of days before the game for the last few matches, has this not happened this time or have I just missed it? With suspensions and missing duals i'd like to know what we are going with tonight. I have faith in Rowley though to get it right!

If it's left this late Nozzy I think it isn't definite that the DCs aren't coming. It must be very unsettling for the coach and players if that is the case. Or he maybe keeping his cards close to his chest.

Thats a good team, only thing i'd swap is putting Gardner and Maden on opposite sides rather than together as they are both experienced whereas Shaw and Clay are both young and would benefit from having an 'older head' alongside them. I'd also have Briscoe on the bench over McGilveray as i'm not a fan of having wingers on the bench.

Change McGilvray for Briscoe and Nozzy makes a valid point about both Maden and Gardner playing on opposite sides then I'd go for that

Are Spencer and Russell playing for you tonight?

Don't think so, they've been recalled by the pie eaters apparently. Not sure why.

Hopefully their playing against Widnes on Sunday otherwise I'm confused by their withdrawal was looking forward to watching them on premier sports tonight.
