Seriously make no mistake these are concerning times and the one thing we do not have is time. Paul Rowley has simply been unable to provide the new impetus we would expect from a new coach. He has also been a part of the coaching set up presiding over two of Leigh's worse seasons for some considerable time. Quite frankly IMO he is not up to the job so the burning question is how far are we prepared to persevere before we act accordingly [ithis[/i season.. I therefore would suggest the following course of action in order of preference.

1) Return Neil Kelly to sole responsibility of first team affairs
2) Appoint a care taker coach in the interim.
3) Recognise the work Neil Jukes has undertaken with the reserves and promote him.

Do you know what. I openly said that Paul should not be our head coach, but what I am reading on here is nothing short of disgusting. You should be ashamed of yourselves. They were obviously still open with Rooney going to Barrow. Question, considering our desperate need for a recognised half back did we consider him, were we outbid 'again' for him. Or maybe he didn't even consider us due to the amateurish and comical goings on at management level which has made us a laughing stock this and for several seasons prior to this.

I understand that theres one player we were going to sign for this season and next season, and both times, at the last minute he has pulled out due to undisclosed 'goings on' at the top.

What the hell has being a Leyther got to do with his coaching skills? Its nice that daddy gave him the job - sorry, I meant "that he convinced the board of his coaching skills" - but he isn't up to the mark and never has been. His record of causing disturbances in the dressing room should speak for itself.

Agree ,it`s the same scenario that brought our club down Tony Anderson was our hero but they kept him too long when everyone realised he was no good.He signed all his mates and most of them sat about spending some of the time playing cards instead of training and he had no man managment. They even gave him another contract and our hero just turned into zero ,it was sad as he never comes near the club now.
If he gets you relegated will the same happen to him I hope not ,he should have let Neil Kelly do the job he was brought in to do. Nobody is going to tell me Rowley is a better coach than Neil Kelly.
