Our club is aiming to put structures in place, to make us irresistible to SL, in three years' time. Of course, a lot of hard work is needed to accomplish that, but we are going to give it a damned good shot.

Terk not a patch on IM, just a failed clone.

Well after working with both I rate them both highly, Basil is/was a better coach but both are up there in reading a game and players, our Dave worked closely with Terk and rates him highly.

Not many players he took over did pal, although to be fair IM was a very hard act to follow, Terk was always asking IM what to do.

for me Terk was a suit coach/ coaching director and needed a track suit one as an assistant as he was more of an ideas and structure man he did some things which were considered daft at the time but are now in use, I dont think the players understood where he 'was at', I hear what you say re the players but there were some who also rated him, but anyone following Basil would have had a hard job as he was and still is on some things light years ahead of anyone else.

Tomorrow, (Thursday) sees our only game in a 25 day period. What better day for an insensitive SL club to make such an announcement? That way we could damage the morale of the Leigh team and supporters on a rare match day. I've read a lot about how this would affect Wakey and Cas, but it's perhaps worth stating there's another club - Leigh - to whom he is actually contracted at the moment.

Could not agree more Alan but there is that much rumour and speculation it is a waste of time delaying the inevitable the players will already know if its fact

I was a big fan of Turk. Hope that IF Basil goes he has got recommendations of who should follow in his footsteps.

Disgraceful if it is annouced now, could spoil our season this. Why couldnt they just wait till the season was over.

Well paid coach = poorly paid players or less well paid coach = better paid players

Unfortunate , but understandable

I think would expect less well paid coach = players paid the same and look at it as money saved.

There's been lots of things that could have wrecked this season but this set of players havn't let it. Hope they're strong enough to get through this.

But I don't see any change to the playing budget so there wouldn't be any 'better paid' players?!

Its like my argument about Marketing , its no use having a marketing genius if he doesn't have a budget to work with

Give me this years squad to coach , against an Ian Millward coached under 18's , and I might just get a few better results , but only a few
