He wasn't good enough, generally if you loan in a SL player in this league you expect them to be better than what you have or to bring something different, at Halifax he was neither.

The fact he didn't do well at Batley says a lot really.

You like to go around bigging Tom Hemingway up, fair play, someone obviously thought he showed a lot of promise when they took him on at the Giants, but seen as though he's been sent out on loan to 3 National League/Championship clubs, and was offered to a number of Clubs at the end of last season, whoever saw that promise obviously isnt there any more and the current coaching set up obviously don't see much of a future for him at Huddersfield.

It didnt work out, hes not up to scratch, maybe it will work out at Leigh for him. Some players just dont `make it` and im not sure what world you are living in but in all likelyhood he is going to be one of them. Have you honestly seen anything that suggests differently? To be honest TH did nothing really to impress during his time at Fax or seemingly Batley. Maybe there are reasons for this but we go on what we saw. And if he did have much potential I am sure Matt Calland and Martin Hall would have kept him. However he has been at 2 clubs and both have been disappointed with him. Maybe at Leigh it will be 3rd time lucky for him. But he certainly is not a top quality Championship player or else he would have shown something either at Fax or Batley.

Why are we being bitter and dim saying how bad TH was for us? It was plain for everyone to see that he simply wasnt good enough. Like Brew says i guess other opinions of Hudds fans on TH should be taken into consideration. I couldnt care less whether he is a nice person or not. I have nothing at all against him as a person, as you would see if you read my posts. The fact is i have seen better players playing amateur RL and thought i would give an opinion on his playing abitlity.

TH never got the chance to shine at Halifax as we had so many players that wanted the ball and you just can't have that many playmakers on the pitch. He was having to wait his turn behind Black, Penky, Gleeson and Beswick so really was never going to fit in and make a difference for us in a short space of time.

You never know it might be the kick up the backside he needed after basically being told he wasn't good enough by a top end champ team. Let's see if he can prove the doubters wrong and maybe show he has some SL potential.

I chatted with Ben Black the day after the sheffield loss and he said TH is a great organiser and good at carrying out a plan but is gonna struggle to fit into the side. Also said its a nightmare playing along side Penky because you never have the slightest clue what he is gonna do (apart from throw the ball behind himself as soon as he thinks he may have to take a tackle).
Horses for courses, TH didn't play our kind of game. The question should be asked why did MC bring him in? Chances are TH saw a chance at a top champ team and said yes to every question MC asked.
