Not in the slightest. This is a rumour that appears only subject to those at Leigh and nowhere else!! What I can't get my head around was the wholesale naivity from some on here last night to swallow this tripe, bourne more out of hope than owt else!!

I think that by the end of the week when no points have been deducted from Fev and Leigh are still relying on widnes pasting us to achieve top spot, the penny might just drop that it's COBBLERS!!!

Last year Frank, we ripped teams apart in spectacular style and come unstuck at the final hurdle.
This year, we have had terrible injuries to players (it happens) and we've had more games we've won by an arm wrestle - ugly wins. But the performance of the team, whilst IMO not as pretty as last year is considerably more efficient.
Our 1st game at Leigh I write off, we didn't have a pack and lost both centres - we were never going to win that.
Our home game v Leigh was disappointing. We conspired to cock it up and Leigh stuck at the task and played out of their skins - in what was a cracking game.
How will we do?? Well, I'm probably not the best to answer as my glass is usually half empty. A fully fit Leigh will be difficult to beat by a team minus Morro and Hayley. We now have only 2 recognised props.
I will concede that there is nowt between our teams over the season and the play-offs make me bloody nervous, but I can't see anything other than Leigh v Fev at Warrington, and in a final the seasons records mean Jack!!!

Injuries, well we've had Bibey out all season and Robbie was out a while too, so we've had them too, so you cant use that excuse.
It should a cracking game.
Both teams have been neck and neck, all year.
I think both teams should make the final.
On a neutral ground, I fancy us.

This has got to be one of the best threads on this board for ages. Very entertaining.

Well it's not an excuse Lynda cos we're top though I will still maintain that the 1st match of the season, with 6 first choice forrads out and the loss of both centres after ten mins did put us in a hopeless situation don't you think?
But we've played almost all season with 2 first choice props out, which is a massive impact on any club. Added to that Tommy Saxton injured and out for a chunk of the season, Heppy, Tim Spears, Matty Dale and now Brynn Powell. Then Tonka out for 5 weeks with an op added to that the normal blast of players out with injuries - these have been injuries that can't be ignored and to do how we've done with those injuries is testimony to the coaching/conditioning team and those stepping up.

However, against Leigh, those absentees may prove the difference between the two teams. We'll see.

Well I've scoured the press and t'interweb for news of Fev's impending doom as predicted by some bloke in a pub in Leigh, and I'm bug_gered if I can find owt!!!

just be guarded FB&B. Leigh have an almost identical league record to our club & they are the current NRC champs. - they are now proven to win big matches.
We aren't!!! We've won nowt - YET!!
I'm making no predictions whatsoever about how our season will pan out.

You've not even managed to beat us this season..............yet.

Halifax played us 3 times last season and got smashed 3 times! Then they went to a grand final.............

Though let's not forget Robin that it was on here about Leigh (and Barrow) having points deducted weeks before it was confirmed.

RFF We have the ability and talent in our team and coaching staff to turn over a Leigh side who are complacent and clearly think its just a case of turning up after managing a win and a draw in what were exceptionaly testing circumstances for our squad.

One of the biggest tests of a teams character is the way in which they handle adversity and pressure and I believe that the Rovers do that with style because of the belief they have in themselves and their team mates. DP is a fantastic coach and is building something special in the club there is a culture of positivity around the place.

Past results count for nought on the big day its all about 80 minutes on the day.

DP will have the boys motivated and use the halifax result last year as a driver for making sure we are ready to take on Leigh.

We should fear no one based on reputaion or otherwise we have a fantastic team of talented individuals who play for each other with a level of commitment not seen at POR for many years.

We are maturing year on year as a team, and as someone once said what doesn,t kill you makes you stronger and I believe last years upset has made us stronger. There is room for caution and we need to keep our feet on the ground but having said that,lets not pretend Leigh are not beatable because they are...

Keep the faith and BELIEVE..
