Exactly right John. I think it's being missed that there a lot of people who are happy to pay their money and let someone else worry about the sums adding up, otherwise your hobby of enjoying supporting the club becomes something a whole lot more stressful (been there, done that).

This sort of stuff crops up on an annual basis - I made the decision around franchise time that I was just going to concentrate on enjoying supporting the club and it's a lot more fun that way, believe me.

All I meant by my comment was, that I dont believe for one second LeythKeith is a Leigh fan, sounds like a man with some kind of business in the area, maybe a lapsed fan that has some kind of axe to grind with the Rowleys or Arthur Thomas. Arthur Certainly deserves some form of recognition from the supporters of Leigh, He has always seemed like a man with a real passion for Leigh RLFC and a real love of the club. He has left you in a great position to go forward and with just a little more investment in marketing Leigh in areas like Bolton, Westhoughton and even Wigan you could grow to become a real SL prospect.

Rugby league Bellow SL has lost out with Arthur leaving as men with guts and passion to do right by a club are getting harder to find now a days. I just hope you continue to go forward as a club and at the same time stop spanking Widnes every time we play you, Its getting old now

That was kinda the point in the first place - why would anyone come on here and start questionning whether AT has actually put any money into the club or not, or whether he has left the club without any debts. He wasn't expressing a different opinion, he was being offensive. And, as you asked, does he have any evidence to start saying AT & AR are lying??

There are no secrets with a limited company and its finances.

Everything that has been claimed about how much AT has put in and what the debts are (or were) to him can be found at companies house for less than the cost of a LSV pint.

If those debts were to any other party (such as a bank or HMRC) then a) they would have shut the door on the club long ago, and b) they would never let the debts reach that figure in the first place.

Again, thats no secret, it's there in black and white if you can be bothered looking.

I dont believe anybody would be stupid enough to belive that the kind of information disclosed to HMRC and displayed on there website will be a truly acurate assesment of the clubs current fortunes.

Thats why accountants are worth their weight in gold they can polish the preverbial turd.

Lets Hope when the dust settles and the big picture becomes clear we are as debt free as AR made us out to be prior to his sudden departure. If we are it seems we will be the only one of ATs intrests that is debt free.

The £1.4m 'debt' (as it was to the 2009 accounts) is owed to the tooth fairy. Or perhaps Father Christmas. Or maybe the Easter Bunny.

It must be them, because if it was anyone real, other than AT himself, they'd have called the administrators in long ago wanting some money back.

Or maybe the club has miraculously bucked the worlds banking trends on lending and are sat on a £1.4m interest free loan from RBS....maybe they've not paid HMRC for years and they've just ignored closing us down and gone for a dozen football clubs instead.

The reasons we lose so much are the concern, funding the gap whilst we renegotaiate and restructure is vital.
