The latest I heard was that a bit of a bidding war is developing, between a Saudi sheikh, a Russian oil oligarch, and a Texan property billionaire, who is rumoured to be high up in the US government. I believe the snag with the latter candidate, is that he insists on total control!!

I am very positive about 2019, it will be a new dawn, the phoenix will rise again. We will be in C1 as a new club with cash in the bank and no debt playing out of Athy Colls rebuilding for a stable SL future in 2021 back at LSV

I have amassed a very healthy number of Tesco Clubcard points, if we all pool ours together + my Sainsburys & HMV points we could mount another challenge on Super Dooper League !

With respect Neil, that scenario would represent one of the most spectacular failures in our illustrious history - from Super League to League 1, in one year. Surely, our owner wouldn't want to be remembered for that?

Throughout his tenure, we have been encouraged, by some contributors on here, to "enjoy the ride." That's tantamount to tempting us up to the top of the precipice, to "enjoy the view" and then tipping us over the edge, shortly after arriving there!

Having experienced, at first hand, the previous, recent, financial disaster, I would much rather we were able to survive in the Championship, in our present 'home.' I have a nightmare vision that, once we move out, we would never get back - and that would be very much, the beginning of the end. The stadium at LSV, is intended to be for the community of Leigh, is it not? In my view, all options need to be explored, to ensure our continuing tenure there. A good start would be for the 'interested' parties to talk to each other!

After being de-briefed on tonight's LISA meeting it seems the LSV is just as difficult to deal with as it has ever been Alan , a fantastic facility , but ultimately something that will continue to hold back the club

as he is a very positive thinker,I think whatever happens at the end of the season and before the start of next season we will sort things out , with a squad more than capable of holding its own in the Championship.
For me we are a viable investment for whoever decides to come forward, after all getting bigger crowds than Salford and Widnes, it isn't all doom and gloom, come back Maurice all is forgiven.

It would appear from FB that CEO Matthew Chantler has painted a picture as bleak as Yorkshire's Happy Valley !

Great! In my simple mind, there have to be benefits to LSV (& Wigan Council) to having a Leigh sporting presence at LEIGH Sports Village!

I realise Alan that a move to Atherton wouldn't be good, I've never been to the ground , but I'm sure they couldn't cater for 2000-2500,though I've never seen the facilities.I'm still expecting to be at the LSV next season.
