We have a wage structure , and we have to stick to it , simple as , it would be great to be able to sign Andy , but as Keith stated , the players that have re signed for us have shown loyalty after taking a ' hit ' on last seasons money , it would not be fair to them , to break a ceiling they are happy to comply with

I would assume that having agreed terms with his agent , he was happy to sign , however he isn't , and that's fine , it is his perogative , good luck to him wherever he ends up , except if he is playing against us , not the end of the world , still plenty of players out there

Yes you have , we aren't in ' turmoil ' any more , we are like many other clubs , just struggling to break even in semi pro sport , things will improve , and the only reason Andy hasn't signed is because of money , something he is quite rightly entitled to do

Hang on, most teams are or have been back in training, friendlies are say six weeks away and you still haven't appointed a coach yet, now maybe turmoil was harsh but it hardly stands you in good stead as a club on it's feet.

Carry on spending like your doing mate and you ll be going down the same road next year.

Still all irrelevant , we have qualified coaches in place to take us through pre season , most of which is conditioning and general fitness work , we have no fear of relegation and there is no need to rush anything , better to take our time and hopefully get the right man for the job

Well i must admit that thought has crossed my mind, but a large majority of our squad this year was with us last year, so hopefully the board has done it's sums right, only time will tell.

Well in my view all Marshy 1 has done is to announce the player who this thread is about will be signing for Swinton.

Good luck to the side he supports. I will be a Leyther next season as always and whilst I would like us to have the best squad in the Championship we have a budget which our club must stick to or we won't have a club to support.

That will have to do for next season and who knows with the duals we will get not forgetting loan players we will have a very good squad to watch.

His agent agreed terms with us on his behalf, and he was due to come and sign yesterday. He then decided he wasn't signing for the money agreed and asked for a improved deal, we said no, as it wouldn't be fair on the rest of the team that had signed their contracts. I agree with this, Keith Freer the chairman said that if he doesn't get more money elsewhere and we haven't already signing a prop from somewhere else, then hes welcome to come back and talk to us and sign the orginal contract.

I hope we understand that the best players get more money, just the same as any product in life.
