Something tells me that the club are being taken to court for none payment of bills or wages. Maybe thats why Paul Rowlley has been allegedly suspended. When a court case like this comes up then HMRC will jump in without any leniency to recover their debt. Something has been going on at the club for it to be so quiet. I feel very sorry for the team who are working to try and rescue our club if this is how it is turning out.

sure we could check the tape but didnt TB say we owed 144k split roughly 50/50 between players and tax with other minor creditors some of whom had been paid or given up debt

TB said had propose to pay players/coach/staff % only and tax over next year guess that would make tax about £70k + what would become due when we paid wages owed

Had 000's not already been donated in last 6 months or so I'd agree with that. But its off season, many have given and now more is needed. I don't know where this 40 grand originated from but as example 500fans giving another 80 quid each in this uncertain financial time approaching chrimbo is difficult to see.

12 months ago I walked to Widnes for this club, this season I ehlped frank with the bucket collection. Feel every so slightly let down if we wind up tbh.

I do not know if that is right or wrong but players and staff are not preferential creditors so if the club goes into liquidation they would get nothing' our way they and HMRC (HMRC in their case all ) would get most of what they are owed.

£40k is easy to raise, if thats all it is. LISA will raise that, or nearly that. So 40 fans loaning LISA a grand each and its covered within 18 months.
1000 season tickets on the £20 a month raises it in 2 months, pre season friendly v Wire/Wigan could raise it. etc

think you will find liquidator gets paid first and that would be end of it. e/ees are protected i think as Freer said at the meeting
