I really dont think thats completely true.
Sure a lot of rugby league fans dont like football and vice versa but im sure a lot like both too.
But the world cup is an entirely different proposition. Especially when England are playing - a great deal of people dont support a club/watch football on tv but watch England.

I here the RFL are thrilled thus far about how things are going for the International after attending a press conferance today.

Mr Lewis when asked about the choice of venue said he was initially shocked to find the pitch 'in such a rough state' , however one of his advisors pointed out the ground had actually moved further up the bypass which he said was a 'big shock, but a nice surprise to find Salfords new ground built so quickly'.
He said he then went into ASDA to sign autographs and was thrilled to see the superstore selling a whole host of flags & hats, Chairs, Beer Glasses etc, etc , he was quoted as saying "Its great to see such a big superstore stocking up on England items just for the RL International".

When asked about the problems of going head to head with the biggest sporting tournament in the world he replied that "we are not going head to head with the biggest tournament, if you look at whats on SKY TV you'll notice we are only up against the NFL Magazine programme and some motorsport show"

Never understood why LSV doesn't let you pay at the turnstyle...

North stand will be pay turnstyles.
The flash car park will be £3, as the LSV have had to hire it to use it.

I can see it now big queues at the ticket gate no frigger at the cash turnstile. Why oh why do they do this,



get your act together LSV, either make all games pay on gate or stick to the all ticket.

It is also RESERVED seating on saturday, you must sit in the seat allocated on your ticket!

My view is that as this is an International reserve seating is sensible.

I also like the idea of cash turnstyles although I know one turnstyle operator who will not be best pleased about that.

Its only in the North stand (the terrace for those of you that dont know) though Frank, for if it is reserved seats then they MUST have a ticket, that must be made clear to our visitors.

No reason why they can't be issued with a ticket when paying on the turnstiles for the seated stands as well though Fred - if they're only turning up on the day then they can't expect to be picky with their seats IMHO (though there again if it's to believed that there are limited seats left in the East & West then obviously there won't be too many sales for those areas anyroad)

Only the North is cash turnstyles matt, so no issue about reserved seating there.

Oh yeah I know that Dave (doesn't bother me either way as I've already bought my ticket, like); just saying that there is no reason why the West/East/South can't have cash turnstiles as well, even when it is reserved seating.

West and East are all but full.
I think the cash turnstyles on the North are simply because no ticket is required for sitting.

I believe North and South still have a way to go yet before being filled.
