The calibre of players within in this squad now should be outweighing the likes (with respect) of Riddy and Beswick. I don't see the point in dwelling in what could/should have been. This squad is 80% away from its potential IMO and replacing the reasons for that at present should be paramount.

However, the performance of our players and coaching team on Sunday was way, way below that of our 'rejects'. That is probably my biggest frustration! It's not a case of dwelling on 'what could/should have been', more a case of what 'could/should BE'

I understand all that but what's that got to do with a very poor kicking game

Before you can have a kicking game,you need offensive/defensive structures in place. They are 80% away from that. No point having a kicking game if your structures are all over the place.

I read where he reminded everyone that you lost at Batley on the first game of a particular season where it ended quite well.

We had the worst kicking in rugby last year as well and that includes amateur rugby as well and regaurding defence it's the lads that was here last year that keep getting drawn in and not trusting the inside defence

Full pre-season for all players with the exception of a few.Two hit outs Wigan/ St Helens V Toronto one hit out Bradford. Poor pre-season due to visa/player issues. No excuse really. The Batley season was a different scenario basically built on two squads. The core was there to start with,this time it needs creating. That is what will catch the weakness in the coaching staff this round and is already showing.

KC only knows one way of coaching and thats structural. No free reign. Sunday was niether, it was just a bunch of individuals just doing whatever they wanted to do. So who evers coaching that needs to make way.

Toronto didnt have the best prep though did they ?

Whatever their issues with their prep,it was obvioulsy better than ours.

Are there bigger changes coming? Michael John Norris resigned as a director of Sporting Club Leigh Ltd on the 24/01/1918 [Companies House. He owned at least 25% of the shares no new director is yet listed. I have not seen any statement from the club on this issue, can anyone throw any light on this?

My all time hero! However, I had in mind a more recent stand off, now with one of our main opponents - yet again! (one who appears to be very highly thought of by that team's fans!)

I think of the 5,500 who turned up today,there will be 2,000 missing for the rest of the season.IF CHANGES ARE NOT MADE NOW.i.e New coach,and a quick stand off who can kick and lead the team around the pitch.

Organisation is all but 50% of the game, but second phase rugby is off the cuff and a good kicking game (defensively or offensively) comes with this.

They've had a full pre season so if they're 80%away from what the coaches want I'd be asking serious questions,our game plan in that simple full time professional players should be able to pick it up in a couple of weeks especially when some of the spine was here last year

I like most of you have supported this great club through thick and thin times and there have been a lot of low moments in there. When back to full good health I will continue to do so with pride. However , now the club should be thriving to go all the way to the top, but with the current coach I just can't see this happening. Third year in charge and in all reality. Not a lot with him has change apart from getting, on paper what should be a top team. Bjut if he is unable to motivate and lead that team. It may as well be a poor team with no expectations from anyone. I dont like to see anyone lose their job, but, Jukes is clearly out of his depth here and should step down. If he does stay. If he does suddenly start to weave some kind of spell.then yes, he'll get my backing, but in all honesty, if he does stay , then I can only see us struggle when the big games come round.

I didn't want Jukes when Rowley left. But many on here said give him 10 games and the rest is history. I don't think we can afford 10 games this time given the opposition in Championship. But there's no way he'll walk after one match. So we are stuck with him and let's crack on.

Trouble is one goes to two then three etc so Derek MUST step in now set a target for the games. All percentages taken into cosideration coming up. If Jukes fails miserably bin him off immediately before its too late but fanbase will suffer with the current set up no doubt about it. If Derek. Which I'm sure he does wants the best for this club.
