Well that was like pulling teeth in the second half. The ref never controlled the ruck allowing London to really slow it down. They can play when they want to with combinations out wide. Naiquama was a handful. With a superleague ref controlling the ruck we would have put 50 on them. Top of the league after 3 games, who would have said that before the start of the season?

A second half to forget not helped by that shocking official who could ruin it for a virgin in a brothel - will someone tell him the 4500 hardy souls pay to watch RL and not him

Too many loose passes/knock on which the ref cannot help but still allowed too much opportunity to slow down the PTB, sometimes 5 seconds elapsing.

3/3 thats why we're champions, BUT must beware and learn to play 80 minutes.

Main positive, Last season, on a day like today, the crowd would have been around 1500 so 3000 extra on today. Well done the Leigh public, the word is spreading, keep spreading the word. In the first half we were impressive ball in hand.

I'd like to see the possession stats for that second half.Got to give credit to the Bronco's really in the second half for keeping hold of the ball,but equally matched by the Centurions defense.

Agree, they must of had over 60% possession stats in that second half. Our defensive effort was really good, although a lot of ball was given to them by strange descisions made by the man in the middle. I think the middle eights will have a mixture of SL refs and the junior refs we get lumbered with. although most of the SL refs are of a higher standard, I have a sneaky feeling we will see a certain Mr Childs at the LSV when the Middle Eights come around.

Leigh was poor really second half, but georgie porgie is seriously not a good official. RFL take note. In all honesty watching Ben Thaler referee in France on Saturday just shows how officiating should be done.

My view is we threw far too much ball away in the second half. I could name one player in particular but my spelling is poor so I won't.

Refs are the same for both sides.

On the positive side it's not always possible to say that every try we scored was a classic but I think that was true today.

Also credit to Sam Barlow today. Ritchie Mathers was really trying hard to get into Sam's head from the moment he took to the field, every time Sam just laughed it off. Good to see from the big man.

Looking forward to seeing some of those tries again. On reflection there was some cracking tries scored by our boys today.

I have to say that the pass Sam Barlow threw out in that second half which led to one of our tries was pure class .Thought big Sam was outstanding today .

I thought Leigh only played in 3rd gear today and were still more than comfortable. Credit to London for keeping at it but Leigh just too good.

I think the referee has to take responsibility for this. He dictated the pace of the game, he could have made it a far better spectacle for the fans by better game management.

It was a clean game today,lets not get into the realms of what could have been..

I think the opposition slowed the game at every opportunity which was a huge compliment to our team.
Armstrong MOM for me with Brierley a close second for that.
Never actually thought we was in danger and some of the handling in the first half in dire weather (from both teams) was first class.
Ref got sucked into it a little and second half was a stop start affair with lots of technical penalties which didn't help the game become a spectacle but I still enjoyed the win!

Just as a side note that was two full time teams with a part time ref so its hardly the guys fault and something the RFL should look at - has the money filtered through for more full time refs and better training or whatever it is they need to improve with this new structure and is there help available to improve these guys or give them the assistance they deserve?

So how do you suggest they improve these guys? You have to start somewhere in all trades..

I think its safe to say Roby and Hicks will be nailed on , with Thomasson, Leatherbarrow and Stokes vying for the other games.

That will leave the "Big four" refs, Bentham, Child, Thaler and Silverwood doing the S/L

Played 3 of the top teams won 3 games, can't complain about that. Barlow's offloading, as always, was fantastic. London looked like a team good in attack but quite weak in defence, they'll probably end up in some big scored games one way or the other. Think if we'd have gone all out we could have really put London to the sword but with the result never really in much doubt you can't really blame them for not going all out after the tough arm-wrestle of a game at Fax last week. Did love Fui though tackling 2 men at once. One of the biggest positive was the attendance, if we can keep those sorts of numbers up all season things will be looking very good indeed.

After yesterday no one can say Fui came here for a holiday,the club gave him time off due to the terrible killing of his close relative and he turned up and played his heart out.

With London arriving without their two starting Props in Slyney and Cordoba plus their biggest forward Riley not in the squad I was expecting Leigh to dominate in the forwards.

London had only three Props in the squad, all club trained 'off the bench replacement players' and under 25 in Wallace, Dollapi and Everett so a faster game would not have suited London, though I saw no specific 'rush' from Leigh either to speed up the game.

However Leigh were a class apart in the first half and destroyed London in the backs, particularly down Ben Helliwell's side with pace and quality passing.

In the second half London had much field better position and I felt they were wasteful within the 20 metre 'red zone' and could and should have been able to get points and close in on Leigh, who I felt looked very fatigued in the second half. It is a great credit to this club that they defended as well as they did.

Off the field the Leigh club is a class act and I would have loved to have stayed on for a beer or two, but alas I live only 10 miles from Dover so it is a fair distance indeed back home.

I'd expect one of Leigh or Bradford to be playing Wakefield in the Million Pound game at the end of the year.

A good summary but Leigh would not have been fatigued second half.

We dropped too much ball imo and we were not at our best in the second half.

Yeah, the better team won, though we were much improved from the debacle against Sheffield, Leigh showed us we have some way to go yet.
