I don't know if the lad wants to leave or not or if he has had requests rejected or not BUT what I do know is that we have a fantastic set of forwards and if they hadn't produced great performances game after game then Ryan wouldn't have scored the tries he has done. Why don't we put this to bed and talk about the players who have pinned their shirts to the mast for Leigh.

Which as far as most of us on here know includes Ryan.



FWIW my view is Ryan would be foolish to go at this stage, as Harold says he isn't SL level YET, continue under Rowley’s guidance for at least another season and then review it.

Leigh would also be foolish to let him go, they offered him a new 3yr contract when Salford’s Doctor was sniffing, and they've told the world he isn't available now when Leeds are rumoured to be at the door. With the RFL now opening the draw bridge to promotion, the BOM have made fantastic strides and have plans to try take that opportunity by going FT and making the club as great as it can be, they’ve asked the town to jump on the bus and back them on their journey the last thing Leigh need now is to sell the Sat Nav.

It's the off season Editors have to sell papers, coaches, agents, directors will all talk, meet up/bump into one another here there and everywhere, to see whose available, get that bit of gossip etc, what else are they doing?

This is getting boring. Ryan said a month ago that he wasn't going anywhere. DB is working on extending his contract. If he does end up leaving, I'm sure Derek will get a substantial fee. There comes a point where another team offers far more money to Ryan than we can currently pay and if that's the case so be it. He has given his all for Leigh, while in our colours and that is all we can ask.

Hey MR M, I've watched it back several times and considering Ryan is going head to head with the England captain and the most decorated Leeds captain of all time I don't think he did to bad. All part of Ryan's development to be one of the best in the game.

As we saw twice after that Leeds game he ripped the Featherstone scrum half apart at Leigh and at Headingley!!

Ryan played his part in a fantastic team performance that evening at Headingley among some top quallity FT players. For me however one HB stood out head and shoulders above every other player that night Martyn Ridyard.

I just picked up on a few of your earlier posts from today when I've sat down with my tea and read through a few threads with specific reference to the online activity of present and past Directors/ BOM members. As I've been a regular contributer to this board and with you then refering to RR as Mr M you will have to forgive me for putting two and two together.

Looks like we've clarified that it wasn't/ isn't aimed at me then have we? That's good as accusations like that could be detrimental to mine and other past and present board members character and at the end of the day everyone who's ever stepped up to the plate for the club has done so for the love of the club and to try and make a difference for the good.

I'll defend Leigh rugby to the hilt and when people come on here bagging Sam and Ryan ill defend them to the max.

Only time I've been cock sure is when I'm confident the likes of Sam and Ryan believe in what is being delivered at Leigh and why would they leave at present. If we dont make it to SL in a years time I'd be confident on both possibly leaving and I don't think we would hold anyone back.
