| Good to see the club is back operating at a sustainable and realistic level. Hopefully average of 1,700 can be met, with the chance of a cup run.
Need a couple more props, although Ryan Duffy had a good year with Barrow looking forward to seeing him this season. Anyone of Spencer/Crosby/Burke would do nicely from Wigan.

| I think the signing of Higson will mean Littler moving into the 2nd row.
Sounds like positive news, 1700 is doable easily as it sounds like we're back to Sundays.
Come on Leyth, excited for this season now.

| I'd be suprised if we get Tom Spencer, Wigan's pack is thin on the ground, especially if Hock goes too.

(Duffy & Rowe are untried at this level)
Oh forgot ..... Hopkins. Did he mention Thornley? Plus 2 pies (1 hopefully Spencer).'"
Yes, Andy Thornley has signed. I suppose there are back row options with Beswick and Littler/Gardner too. However, it was mentioned that we had 18 signed up for the Under 23's so there should be an element of cover from there, for the forwards.

| For me last nights Forum was full of Positive vibes , from the position we where in last year at this time , the Board ,PR and his staff , and the Players have worked wonders , at a decent price i will back us to finish top of the League , and hopefully get to Blackpool .
When PR announced his playing Squad last night , we seem to have many options in the Pivot positions , which is very good ,hopefully these play makers can release Ryan Brierley to do his stuff , and its a case of Happy Days .
Im really looking forward to next season , with the addition of the DRs ,our squad is stronger than last year , we just need a few more Fans through the Turnstiles now to show Faith in the lads , i was also impressed with the way PRs backroom staff spoke last night .

| Salford 30 Dec and Pies 6 Jan both at home.
We always beat those two clubs these days.
It is many seasons since we have lost 2 the Pies even though we have played them a couple of times.

| We beat them last season and the season before.
The previous season they got lucky due to some bewildering refereeing decisions.
Go and hava a Ribena and a lie down.

May be , but you said "MANY SEASONS ", as i have said they have won at the LSV ,and as ive missed todays Hydrotherapy Session , i will be having a lie down .
You mentioned Tom Spencer also , i was talking to him at the Gym the other week and he said he was 90% sure to be back at Leigh next year .

I know PR is a Fan of Spencer , at last nights Forum , Paul said given the choice between Paul Prescott and Tom Spencer , he would pick Spencer every time , also saying Spencer had bought into the Leigh Centurions way of doing things and was at home and enjoyed it with us .

| Quote ="JENKY"Cheers for that Matt,
The big push should now start for hitting the 1,700 which should be easily achievable with a club of our size.
On that note though was there any mention of Fri night fixtures ?
PS :
I presume 'dashing young chap' now means something else these days or else you could be done by the trade descriptions act
Have you donated you raffle winnings to the Jambos cause ?
'"
The presentation about the survey (very well presented by the two chaps from the University of Huddersfield by the way, one of whom has been converted to supporting Leigh as a result of the work involved!) mentioned that 75% of the 500+ that responded showed a strong preference for Sunday games, so presumably it's just a case of seeing what the RFL come back with in terms of fixture clashes with the pussy cats and going from there after the draft.
I will actually be donating to the Jambo cause once they decide to release tickets to Hibs for the New Year derby (assuming they're still in existence by then!)

In that case I expect an announcement imminent stating we are playing Friday's.
Just like Sporting Club Leigh announced at the start of Super League after Professor Dale's survey also returned a resounding preference for Sundays

| I maybe be a bit optomistic here but I think the opening of the whistling ren may bring a few more people in especially on a summers sunday afternoon enjoying a pre match drink & post match tea out in the occassional time we get sun lol It'll be good all round for Leigh in general with the addition of the whistling ren.

| The club have asked the RL for primarily Sundays. Also the shut down for pitch work which was 6 weeks last season will be only 2 this year. Lets have your next jibe at the board Harold

Nah, they'll just spend the afternoon in there and ask the fans how we got on as they come out.

| Quote ="Leyther_Matt"One thing that did cross my mind is if they somehow seed the draw - good for avoiding Featherstone, less good if we're wanting Halifax to do us a favour and knock Fev out on our behalf
23 names (I think) were mentioned by Rowls.
Brierley, McNally, =#FF0000Littler, Gardner, Higson, Pownall, Maden, Ridyard, Beswick, Penkywicz, Nicholson, Coyle, Finnegan, Taylor, Goulden, Ryan Duffy, Ostick, Parker, Briscoe, Rowe and others who I can't remember
'"
Is anyone else slightly concerned that we only have 5 outside backs signed up and, with Higson out until April, that we will start the season with just 4? Littler and Gardner centres, Maden and Pownall wings. Doesn't leave much room for injuries!
Higson/Maden/Gardner can all do a job at both wing or centre if required but we still look very thin in this part of the squad. I'm sure it is somewhere PR is looking at bulking out with Dual Reg players but I still think we need one or two more 'proven' players who are contracted to LEIGH first and foremost. Ballard would have been ideal IMO but obviously he went elsewhere. Do we have any outside backs other than the ones listed? Or has anybody heard of any particularly good backs we may be getting on Dual Reg?
