I do not think it is anything to do with better coaching at Widnes which incidentally I think the Leigh coaching team would find rather offensive.

Why all the fuss about W***n?! Warrington sent their full team for the friendly with us, and appear to be offering us three good young lads, on dual contracts. Maybe we should just forget about the "agreement" with W***n and concentrate on building future relationships with the Wolves?

After reading wot you've posted I agree building a relationship with Wolves seems to be a great way forward for us as a club with asperations & they've already started cheers Warrington

I hope they have mate and as has been said Warrington do seem to want to help us to which we thank them for.

And for some reason we keep turning it down, despite the fact we badly need a player in his position!

Is anyone else worried by these dual contracts?

Personally I don't see it as the way forward. It obviously has pros but I think there are more cons.

It is good for the players personally but does it really assist the clubs? I guess time will tell.

When I've a bit more time I'll put more thought into the pros and cons and perhaps do a blog post on it.

Too true and all the pros are with the lending club.....

Too many unknowns in the system at the moment but one thing will be sure if any benefits it wont be to the lender especially if like Wigan thry insist the players get a first team spot, that wont half pee off the contracted players and your own reserves, that plus teams will come too reliant on those players then whooosh they are back at the SL club when they have a few injuries.

The millward factor strikes with Wigan unfortunantly in my opinion. The three warrington lads IF signed and until they cross the whitewash i dont believe anything that comes out of Leigh in terms of speculation or announcements on the website!! will do nothing but add short term cover. Would rather see us promote some of our own youth instead of being a reserve SL side!!!

I dont see why Leigh are getting all heated up about this, your 3 arrive from Wire our 4 have come from Wigan and Saints and these deals were done quite some time back.

You do realise VM that Ainscough will get recalled quite abit if there are injury's. This signing may not prove all that its cracked up to be

Certainly not getting heated up about this, we will be in a relegation - mid table battle again this year with or without these Dual Contract players. In my opinion Millward is a great coach not a god. Unfortunatly if will take 2-3 years at least for him to develop his own stamp on his squad. I just hope he isnt pinched by SL clubs along with Chris Hill,Adam Higson etc and gets this time to get the club back to the top of the championship and if luck is on our side or some SL teams go to wall get super league status
