Although I have not a shred of evidence to support, I highly doubt either Robbie or Ian will be coming next year IF we go down.. We would be daft to pay for them and they would be daft to come, all in IMHO of course!

As has previously said there would be very little money left to spend on players..you can have the best coach and halfback in the world, but if the rest of the players are amateurs paying for virtually free..it ain't going to get us far..

Look at Oldham the other year in NL2 they where beating Widnes & Leigh to many signing somehow!! Unless they where back handers that have ruined them for now!

Of course they have both SAID that they will still come no matter what - but whether that will happen is another matter, there can always be clauses in contracts.

I have no idea how Oldham were able to sign the players they did!

I suppose if half your squad is under 21 then you only have to fund half a squad under the salary cap though.

You never know ,he may already be giving his input with the team (not playing)because he wont want us to go down and has said that Ian is on the phone all the time to him.
