step lad just back from 12 months in aus and he has bought me green and gold replica shirt.

even though i hate the aussies for the beatings of the last 30 years their is no better shirt anywhere in sport.

fantastic present and i will be buying leigh shirt with xmas money

A history of the Challenge Cup , which led to an interesting chat with my father , it seems I am related to Tom Clarkson who played for Leigh in the 1921 Cup winning team

Did you know that brothers Tom and Ellis Clarkson between them basically covered the Leigh fullback position for 20+ years.

Full back Tommy Clarkson was eventually forced to retire through a recurring leg injury. He had made 369 first team appearances and between them, Tommy and his brother Ellis, had virtually filled the full back shirt for nearly 600 games and 25 years.

It was an "interesting chat" and you found out you're related to Tom Clarkson - did your Dad reveal that he's not actually your real Dad and that young Tom had been up to no good with your mother about 9 months before you were born, by any chance?!





I also got a season ticket (although mine is obviously far superior to others mentioned on this thread as it's for the mighty Reds?!) but couldn't get this season's shirt yet as apparently they're stuck in transit from China?! (and some of you think your RL club is badly run?!?
