So the same guy that pretty much played a key role in assembling the squad that he then failed to motivate to win? Good lord!

Well Cunningham didn't holiday in Australia, pretty sure that was Jukes and Dez .. Which then was followed by a raft of Aussie players signing for us... Bet the agents rubbed their hands with glee offloading the tosh to us for huge salaries.

Jukes was pivotal in removing the likes of McNally, Riddy, Beswick, Higson etc. I wouldn't have him anywhere near the club.

Cunningham is the fall guy for mistakes made by others.

I will always maintain that was a seriously bad move.

And it was that pettiness from both the coach and the owner that led us to where we are today.

why are we going over old ground with this?

I guess if you have nothing new to ponder over then you have three options, make something up, go over old ground or say nothing.

Surely the point is massively pertinent if the rumours are true that Jukes is involved in player recruitment no?

It’s not necessarily true that jukes is leading the recruitment for next season - Maurice loves winding up the more gullible Leigh fans.

Strangely enough, even I (out in the 'sticks') heard that was to be the case, a few weeks ago! It's gone very quiet, over 'Fev' way, about his new contract - the second year of which, was supposed to depend on a top 4 finish. I wonder if there's anyone else, over the 'Dark Side', who he would want to 'rescue'?



Of course, there's just the small matter of 'Special measures' to overcome, and a new coach's willingness to do the job for nowt, with no players.......
