The part of this that worries me is that a few weeks ago we were told we wouldn't be partnering with Wigan but now we have, this makes me a bit worried what else could change during the season.

But I will stick by my beloved Leigh RLC and will not turn my back on them despite not being happy with what as gone on and will still be at as many games as I can work permitting.

I still can't see how it help us even after Trevor has given Dave that interview.

I hope it does work out ok and it works like what we had with wire but unless the same players are used it's not the same is it, we could in fact have 21 different wigan players over what's left of the season , please please tell me how that's helps us, as I don't understand.

I know our squad small and we've no money to bring in players if we get more injuries but surely it must fill the fringe players with confidence knowing they won't get a game due to us playing wigan players purely because other SL clubs decided to save money and get rid of the reserves grades.

That is where I thought you were going, in essence quite often the pro clubs abuse the juniors at the amateur clubs with false hopes and promises , then drop them

So it begs the question, are the pro clubs fit for purpose to oversee the junior development?

I am unable to believe we will ever be taken over by Wigan and I have read all the arguments' go to matches' fans forums' LISA meetings and' am in the lottery a LISA and Touchdown club member so there's not much more I can do to support the club I have been following since 1956.

People who don't go or used to go but don't now for whatever reason still post on here so why shouldn't I ?

Alex's Dad posted this morning the announcement was a mistake because whatever is said now those who want the club to fail will surely get their wish and they won't believe anything they are now told by the current Board.

The losers in this are our current players who will always have my support. I just hope it does not affect their on field performances for however many matches this club might have left.

What I cannot understand is people who have stopped going but seem to be encouraging folk who do' to do the same.

No doubt they will tell me but whatever I will be there Friday to watch Leigh's players and I know who will select them too.

I had written that post when you were writing yours Ian so I didn't read the ones that were written when I was writing mine but yes and no. But I am really sick and tired of the hate Wigan e and the "Flute Song" and all the board knocking. I am just going to turn up and watch my beloved Leigh untill they cease to exist and hopefully I will pushing up daisies by then. I will still do what I can for the club I love because I was born in Leigh, played for the Leigh Colts and the Leigh Miners and absolutely adore my home town. The damage is done now, but its Such a shame they didn't wait til the end of this season before announcing this policy, or announce the policy now as they have done, but will introduced it in 2014.

How much give is there in the development of player in 16-21 range? It always seems to sply funded anyway, so cutting any % will be damaging, sometimes proportionally more than the cut.

I have been saying this for weeks now and it has largely fallen upon deaf ears but I will say it again. This super fan/arguing/tit for tat/witch hunting/whatever has to stop. It achieves nothing.

Come on people, you all support the same club and ultimately want the same thing, which is a strong and prosperous Leigh Centurions. That is still achievable, and not a million miles away. Keep the faith and put past grievances or whatever it is to one side, or they may soon be all you have left.

Well I agree with all you say above Tony and I don't hate Wigan I was born in Hindley, but I don't think I am an idiot for being concerned, but like you I will not turn my back on our great club and will still be at as many games as I can, and all us fans should stick together in hard times like this not be falling out amongst each other.

Good evening fellow Leythers. May I just point out that I have trawled this message board for a few years now, and never had the inclination to post. I must start by saying that I am totally disgusted with a lot of the comments regarding this post. Do you not understand that we are in a Dual registration with Wigan Warriors, nothing more, nothing less.We had this agreement with Wigan last season and nobody complained then, so what is the problem now. We have only signed up as a partnership because that is the way the RFL want us to word it.
Things are happening behind the scenes that if sucessful will bring a whole new look to our fantastic club, hopefully in the very near future, and before anyone shoots me down, we will have a Leigh Centurions team to support for a long time to come yet. Please be patient and do not shy away from giving our club your full support.
If anyone wants to know more, please get in touch with Trevor, and hopefully he can put peoples minds at rest once and for all.

We've no doubt watched Leyth about the same number of years, this latest issue has proved to be very emotive and one which requires further understanding.

I feel the service area lark causes more mayhem amongst our youth teams than any productivity that comes out of it ....... Do I know the solution ? , well no I don't but I do know this scenario isn't working .... and as has been mention earlier in this thread .... just because you haven't made the grade by the age of 16 / 18 / 20 doesn't mean that's it you've had your chance now be off with you !! .

you are possibly correct in your statement, as the history between the towns or rugby teams of Warrington and St Helens do not match the the past or current status of events between the towns and villages around Leigh and the town and rugby club of wigan. The word is mistrust.
