Going to have to go into work and see if I can get the thursday off and ask for my sunday shift back again! I hate thursday night away matches. What time would the coaches be expected back in Leigh after the match?

Can't see many of our regular lot being too impressed either to be honest - we've all booked a weekend trip last week, going over that side o't hills for one lads birthday & planning on ending up in Dewsbury for the game on Sunday. I guess at least we can still do the booze-up without the rugby getting in the way now. But if you're reading this Tom, uncle Rupert and uncle Dicky say happy birthday...

Then you've got the situation of it being the last week of the season - if there's anything still to play for between the top 2 (which is still technically possible as far as anyone knows at this moment in time) shouldn't Leigh and Fev both be playing at the same time like they do with all the games on the last day of the footy season? Is this why Sky waited so long to decide on a game maybe?

It's unfair on any teams and fans in this division to rearrange games at such short notice, and especially at such an important part of the season. Apart from fans making arrangements for work, holiday requests, etc etc, even a lot of the players in our division have jobs to factor in alongside their rugby commitments. IMO if Sky can't pick a game at least say 2 or 3 weeks in advance they shouldn't be allowed to show one at all that week.

Just goes to show how little Sky think of the Championship clubs & fans.

If we beat Sheffield by say 20 points and then you beat Dews by 61 you can all sit by ya radios to see if we can get at least a bonus point at Widnes. Seems a bit unfair that we'll know exactly what we have to do. Kicking off at the same time on Sunday should have been the way.

Agreed, we played our match at the same everyone would feel the nerves and the celebrations would be much better.

As I pay for Sky I'll watch it on there rather than make the evening jag to Dewsbury.

Will definitely be making the effort for Fev though assuming they finish top.

Oh well looks like my next attendance at a Leigh game will be at Warrington.

It would but you both get a week off whilst the first round of play off fixtures are contested anyway.

I am bitterly disappointed at the switch.

I was going on a Sunday but cannot make Thursday nights due to work, but can catch it on TV.

In one way I shall miss the Championship on TV as you get a good opportunity to see some great competitive rugby keep and eye on the opposition.On the other hand I honestly believe the clubs have suffered with reciepts on the gate etc.. from Thursday night games. I hope some network at least manages to film some games and offer us real rugby fans a decent "highlights" programme to enjoy.

To be fair to Fev, this weekend isn't 'their' fixture. I think it's taken this long for Sheffield to find a stadium to play at!
