They get bigger crowds than all 3 of Widnes, Fax and Fev put together in a stadium under redevelopment. They have 1 Irish international, 1 Scottish international, 1 Kiwi, 19 French, 1 Fijiian, 1 Australian World Cup winner and a candidate for the RL Man of Steel in Scott Dureau.

Widnes have got Magraff Leuluai who wasn't good enough for us, even when we were , Fax have still got Graham Holroyd on their books and Fev fans can't behave.

Can't believe people are knocking a 4th round CC game at Leigh against Super League opposition. Knock out competition, anything can happen on the night.

Just give 100%. Thats all you can ask.

Remember when we played Wigan. Played like demons and got stuffed the week after. We was unbeaten then ! It can have an adverse effect, but who cares?

Looking forward to it,if we get blown away we now were we stand,if we get close to them or dare I say win then its onwards and upwards.

I reckon we can compete in the forwards its the backs we may lack a touch of speed.

But if our halfbacks produce a decent kicking game to keep them as far as possible from our line we could produce the shock,either way its the most famous competition in the world and we should give it our best shot as its history demands

I'm not knocking the game jonny.I'm looking forward to it very much,so much so that i bought my ticket weeks ago.I just think 3 point and the NRC are more important to us.

I'd say equally important for me, each to their own though. I hope theres a decent crowd on though.

I also hope the town turns out for this game.

I think between our set of mates that are Leigh fans theres a group of a dozen of us, I'd say we get 6 hardcores on average to each game. I reckon all 12 and maybe more will be at the Cats game, not sure about everyone else but I think this games appealed to quite a lot of fans who are part time fans.

I understand where Fred Parky is coming from but as a supporter we want to see our team compete with the best. I can't concern myself with the financial implications whatever they are. I'll turn up and all I ask is for 100% effort from a Leigh side.

What happens off the pitch is secondary to me and although it is of importance it's out of my control. Most people just want to see us compete and push the better teams to the limit. Is it a distraction? Well we dont play a league game until the following Sunday so I dont see how and injuries can occur in any game thats just down to luck. The players will want to ply their trade against a better class of player so good luck to them.

Wonder if they'll take the opportunity to play an all French team, against our all British team?

I'm really excited about friday, its a great opportunity for our lads to test themselves against top opposition, like many others have said I know of people who haven't yet set foot in the LSV coming along to the game...

I do hope however it doesn't have the same effect on the team that it did last year, IIRC we were 11 games unbeaten when we went to Bradford.....

No matter what the RFL would like us to think, this is sport - let's treat it like such. We play every game to win. The consequences are the consequences, and we accept them and get on with it. We won't lie down and be beat by any team or any circumstance.

It'd be interesting, maybe the French lads won't fancy it though after the last time they played at the LSV!

I'm looking forward to watching Ferriol, Bosc and Dureau play on friday. Really good RL players to watch.

Been thinking about how Basil will try and beat the Catalans and I reckon it's going to be through the middle like against Widnes, almost like we're the full time team that are odds on favourites and then go out wide if and when we win the armwrestle through the middle.

How anyone cannot get excited about a fixture of this nature is beyond me. Surely, its this kind of game that you are a fan for in the first place?

Exactly. I realise winning the Northern Rail Cup or getting to a Grand Final to tick our box are in essence more important but these kind of games dont come around that often in our league and I expect Catalans will win because they are a good side but anything can happen in sport.

remember Wakefield away when Neil Kelly was in charge, for this cup game, he fielded a 'weakened' side, and even handed Magraff Leulia his 1st team debut, played in the centre !! Wouldn't have gone if I'd known 'our side' - won't happen this Friday - with our strongest side (available) we have a chance, albeit a small one. - Can't Wait !!!!!!

I think it will be good for you to win and a big game in the next round.You will win the league as only Fev competing with yoгю.Yes extra games could put fatigue on players, and you could run out of steam come the end of the season.But i feel your team is very strong, and will win everything in the Сhampionship.
