The split in the dressing room didn`t just happen at your club it hapened at Fax too ,he trained apart from the team on his own it got that bad .Even his Leigh "mates" that he traveled with used to "forget" to bring him back home. He was a good hooker though but just a big baby.

1), Which coaches the only Leigh coach Paul fell out with was D Abram which just about every other player did in that SL season

2), Our position is no differnent to when he started, how many games as he been in charge of and hasnt he had to face Fax 3 times?

3), He got offerred an interim position whilst we recruited one of the best ever coaches in SL.


As for your flippant last comment Mr A Thomas is in charge and makes the decisons.

It is unfortunate that good players don't always make good coaches. Also if a team does badly the person responsible is the coach.

You only have too look back over the years at every rugby club that coaches that do poorly move on. They may be sucessful elsewhere but its isn't a guaranteed job for life.

Time to move on.

Isn't it fair to say that you've had more than your fair share of crocked players this year? Didn't seem to be much cover though whether it be from within or loan signings. If there are no players/money available is that the fault of the coaching staff?

Knives out is the standard practice on here though. Some have even got the knives out for someone who isn't even here yet

In todays Lge Express Rowley states that he is looking for a "long apprenticeship" under Neil Kelly and then Ian Millward. In the same paper Kelly says he has had nothing to do with any coaching for some time now.

Why then if Rowley says himself that he is not yet "head coach" materiel was the decision taken to remove Kelly from coaching and let Rowley fly solo? Doesn't add up to me!

You need to know the history of Kelly since he was at Munster to know the facts, his health has suffered (well documented elsewhere) and as a result the change had to be made.

Millward must like Rowley with him staying on as his no.2 or will he have been told Rowley must stay ,cant see it myself dont think Millward would have accepted head coach under those circumstances he does'nt strike me as someone to be told who /who not he will have on his coaching staff after all AT has been after him for ages so i would think Millward has come under his terms surely.Plus other posters have stated that it would'nt matter who coached us at the moment with the players we have so getting rid of Rowley is not the answer its good loan players we need.

Ihave not said anywhere he is a good coach but we still need to get behind him and the team at this moment there is nothing else we can do

I Agree that we all need to get behind the team and the staff at this time but WE NEED SOME LOAN SIGNINGS.This will boost the team no end and hopefully get us out of this mess.

Stuff them full of facts Keith and it wouldnt give a damn, people believe what they want to the truth is just a nuisance. They ought to ask the people who are in the know (the players) about things that go on not 'a mate down the pub' who knows nothing but has a private grudge and is only too willing to spread the brown sticky stuff.

At this point in time the posistion we are in is one he hasnt got the experience to get us out of??? if kellys health was that much of a worry then why was he given the job ...its baffling ????and that is worrying everyone Fred????

So if Rowley isnt up to the job and Kelly not well enough what do we do ? i do agree with you about running a club on sentiment but at the moment i thing all us fans can do is get behind the coach and the players and just hope we stay up till Millward gets here.

but frustration kicks in when people are paying out hard earned cash and feel robbed and treated like mugs ......but like have said have put up with it for 30 years so will have to get used to it i guess...doesnt make it right though

There seems to be this conviction that Neil was 'moved upstairs.' If those who believe that took the trouble to talk to Neil, they would hear the truth of the matter. (that's providing they believe him, of course)

I was thinking about this if they thought he was'nt up to the job but could'nt buy him out i'm sure that he would'nt have just been shunted off upstairs he would have stayed where he was coaching so maybe he wanted it this way .

Your spitting into the wind Fred as people here have got their own opinion and nothing you say will shake it .

My opinion is ...... Paul Rowley is a novice coach who has been appointed as CARETAKER coach untill the end of the season when a more experienced could be found and the players knew it and were just going through the motions and be happy picking up losing pay .

Now that they know that The Chosen One is returning I expect them to show some balls and enthusiasm and get their act together and show Paul Rowley some respect .

After all this is the same team that beat Widnes twice and Sheffield away and should have beaten Barrow at home , I don't believe that they have become a bad team over night .

Like ive said all along Gordon if anyone cares to really read what ive put its only facts not a word of praise or criticism at all, and thats what bugs folk because I criticise to peoples faces and dont hide behind stupid names on here.

As for 'always sticking up for them' how bloody childish (and untrue) is that, who was it who for months got in thier faces about lack of communication (and still do) and got off his ar$e and tried to change it? Its still not perfect but its a sight better now than it was.
