Have the players been payed anything? if not then LISA needs to be given back any monies that its handed over in the last couple of months.

One of our ex players told me at the gym yesterday john, he had been promised a cheque this Friday.

If the club is wound up, then LISA would be treated like any other creditor. i.e. will receive nothing owed.

Until we get a statement from the club we don't know how bad this situation is. I'd guess there is a way out of this. Other clubs have in the past owed a lot more than this and found a way to survive. We need to know the facts from the club and how we can find a solution. We need to know now as well. Not when it's too late!

If you are going tits up then you dont pay folk with somebody elses money, you keep that money for Newco.

As I umderstand it Wakefield Trinty Wildcats had arranged a similar payback scheme over a certain timescale only for Crusaders to go into administration,last November (?) and when HMRC lost their money that ended the agreement.HMRC had also lost money with a soccer club so they changed their stance.
Out of all the people in all the world the HMRC should be paid first.

As a side issue if Bobbie Goulding had coached his Super League/NRL experienced players past Championship standard players,mainly,and Wales had not reached the 4Nations then perhaps the RFL would not have put too much effort in assisting the Crusaders.

I don't think all is lost at the moment but the 3 men who have taken this onerous task on board require as much support as possible.I don't think all of this is of their making.

We need to contact the Revenue and offer to:
1. Agree to pay all future PAYE and NI payments on time
2. Offer to pay the arrears over a set time, if its £40k then a reasonable payment would be £1500 a month in addition to the actual sum due.
What we must not do is offer an amount that we cannot afford just to look good, it is better to pay £1000 per month and make 12 payments than £1500 and only make 8 payments.

Having negotiated payment schedules in a past life I would be prepared to do so again, presumably it is the Manchester office and I have always found them reasonable and sensible in the past.

I actually believe that the best way out of this mess is for 150 fans (or more) to put £1000 each into the club and take it over, removing anyone connected with getting us into this mess and the fans appointing their own Board of directors. All existing share owners would have to give their shares to the club and each £1k would entitle the person to 1 share. I am up for it and so will Frank be when I tell him. Anybode else???
