Also everyone should remember how well the clubs lottery does too, we have probably the best lottery , and the best ISA in the whole of Rugby League. So we are doing some things right .

Saley2....maybe your right maybe your not...guess what no-one actually or factually knows yet as it hasn't even started !!! Maybe there are 2000 people out there who feels like you that they are being ripped off, or maybe there is 2000 people out there who will pay 14/16/18 quid to watch Leigh with no concerns on what everyone else is paying there might even be 2000 people out there( prob more ) who don't even know that this offer exists so it won't concern them ??? Whatever the outcome surely for now this can be left alone and maybe in 8 weeks time if the att are going up or down ( or even staying the same ) we can bring this topic up again when people will have acutal facts and figures to back up there point of view !!!

The club has sent a clear message to the people of Leigh you have to pay £16 / £18 if you decide on the day to come and watch leigh however a ST holder from every other club in the country can come to leigh and do exactly the same and pay £10 and get their kid in for free. Please please please explain to me how this is going to get our supporter base to grow its a very very simple question.

It's not an offer aimed at our supporter base as such so I don't think the questions necessarily match up. All offers of this type will be limited to certain groups (and interesting to see the latest story on the Centurions official website with regards to a similar scheme for Swinton....!)

The offer does effect our supporter base Matt because they are being asked to pay £6/£8 more and pay for there child. How is this offer going to get these people we need to grow coming through the doors?

The problem is the majority of people who are clearly supporting this are the absolute hard core supporters of the club who will be there whatever the price/weather/day etc etc - this is in essence people who post on the forum as the club means so much to them.

As a consequence the indifference of the floating Leyther is lost on the majority, as is the difficulty in getting them through the turnstiles week in week out. Like it or not these people are less likely to come when their own club isn't gearing up ways to attract them due to a misplaced focus on non core support and their kids.

Why?

Going to start this with simply pointing out that this is nothing to do with negativity, just a representation of facts that this initiative is a shocker.

Last night 50 Batley fans used their season tickets and thus got in for £10 which represents a minimum loss of revenue to us of £300, more for the ones who sat down. Does anybody think these 50 wouldn't have come anyway??

Did 30 other clubs fans pay £10 each to make up this shortfall?? No and furthermore they never will.

People wanted facts and here they are - let's not try and gain solace from the fact this is the first game etc etc, we are flogging a dead horse, costing ourselves precious revenue and minimising any possible chance of our floating fans turning up to pay full price or even £2 off for turning up early.

And you know these 'facts', how?

By now you should realise that negativity is anything that doesnt fully agree with what the club do, be it right or wrong. Best thing to do is shut up, keep buying your ticket and let them either make it happen or luvv it up - whilst admiring the emperors silks with the rest of em.
We have what we have for this season, we have missed numerous opportunities created by the wave of passion last year but the club knows best and I look forward to eating my hat at some point.
