I like Rhys but I cant help thinking he still hasn't really progressed since he was at Leigh last time and he was disappointing then imo.

Ben crooks is ten times better than him for a start brown better centre than him to he would prob make winger at best and I would have higson and Dawson other him in that position to can't see what the big fuss is he going to be a squad player if he was any good Warrington would not be letting him go would they

Ben Crooks is not our player, but would like to see him signed permanently. Not sure what Brown offers at centre? Opposition gets on the outside of him and past him regularly, and he rarely gets his winger away.

As for "if he was any good Warrington would not be letting him go would they", all of our players have been let go by somebody.

Exactly most of are players have had there best years elsewhere and then come to us for a pay day there a handful on high wages that the club are trying to get rid of to free up some of the salary cap to bring more players in

A bit harsh that Monty, There's never a lot of players to choose from,and then you need to persuade them that your club is the best choice. IMHO, two quality players have already signed for next season,and it looks like 2 quality players will be here shortly. Keep the faith, get behind the club, and stop moaning.

Rhys Evans is an inept player who was never really good enough to be a regular in the Wire first team. If I was a Centurions fan I'd be seriously questioning my club's ambitions when signing such a mediocre player. He is pants and I feel sorry for you guys.

Thanks but he’s still relatively young (24/25?) and a change of club, a fresh opportunity to lay claim for a regular starting spot is perhaps just what the lad needs to fulfil his potential.

You like the other established SL clubs have a commendable youth system to fall back onto, we don’t have that luxury yet and are years off, so we need to beg steal or borrow from whomever and wherever we can, that will mean us signing some older players who can hopefully still do the job but let’s be honest will have their best days behind them and some young ones who for whatever reasons haven’t quite made it ……....yet.

Not really the point I was making. Until we have had an academy for a number of years, and we're an established Super League club, we'll be reliant on picking up players who have been let go by a club. And players do go onto do well after being let go, look at the cas team this year.

Who out of our current squad has not been let go by a club in their careers? Even Ridyard and Hopkins have been released by SL clubs in the past!

Riddy and hoppys super league never really got off to a start for the parent clubs hoppy at Wigan never played for them in super league and riddy never got off to a start for us but now he proving his worth for huddersfield and we not benifiting from his form

Exactly. Players find themselves at club where it doesn't work out. So, just saying "Warrington have let him go, therefore he's not good enough for us" is nonsense.

we paid money for Kevin Brown, brought in Ryan Bailey after he was binned by Leeds Cas and Hull KR,
signed the injury ravaged Gary Wheeler from Saints. we replaced Adrian Morley and Gareth Carvell with stinking signings like Roy Asotasi, Anthony England, and Jordan Cox.

we also let Richie Myler go and are currently trying anyone with their own boots in the half back position

....oh yes Gareth O'Brien also "not good enough" for Wire.
Though he's most likely not upset by that as he sits second in the league and in a challenge cup semi.

I'm not sure we have a clue what a good player looks like.

Club needs to go out of its way to secure Ben Crooks. Heaps of potential and a very classy player who can only get better.

I fear that a bigger club may come in for him though hence the signing of Evans.
