Not a disparaging remark, more that as Cas are embroiled in legal proceedings regards DS & Sale, they need not give Sale any ammunition over integrity/morals etc.

However, the [i'rumour'[/i I heard was that Leigh outbid Cas in terms of value of contract to Clare.

Cas are a bit tight on cap after Hardaker.

I hope Kieran Moss gets a gig. Probably a better fit for Widnes post-Brown but he's a quality player in that FB / SO mould. If your pack makes gaps he will go through them.

From what I have picked up in sunny Tigertown this afternoon we (Tigers) offered James a deal and he has turned us down. Not too surprised on that since we showed him the door a couple of seasons ago. Nothing to do with finance or salary cap either - he sees himself getting more game time with your good selves. He's a good lad is James and he'll do well for you.

Clare trained with Leigh today and goes warm weather training with them tomorrow.

Went shopping today in Morris ons, there was a bloke in a Leigh tracksuit ,obviously a player, and I didn't recognise him , I asked him who he was,and said I'm a Leigh fan, he told me he was James Clare and had just signed for us.

I would hope we can help Bradford out with the offer of a season long loan of Jamie Acton if indeed they are interested once the dust settles.

Also I can't see young Ben Reynolds gaining much playing time in the opening four weeks and injuries permitting, a month to month deal with Bradford may suit us both. It will help to keep young Ben match fit, who needs regular games to continue his development.

Ben is a talented player that I do rate highly.

The situation Bradford fans find them in is truly awful. I urge them to keep faith and I wish them all the luck in the world.

Harold,I can see the forwards being rotated and getting game time if earned, and Acton MUST be given that opportunity.

I agree that Reynolds might not get game time, so yes, he would be ideal to loan out along with the likes of Lee Smith,Lewis Foster and probably Dave Thomson.

Acton will be our best forward in SL, he has grown up massively and is looking to prove himself

Hopefully the club disciplinary rules given to Jamie,will set him in good stead.Looking forward to seeing a next international this year.

He has the potential to be class with a bit more age and experience - but nowhere near best forward at the moment, reckon he's a couple of years off being the standard required, he's also at last chance saloon for me

He has the the ability & the physique to become a future International but only if the raw talent & mental attitude & awareness is channeled & nurtured.
