Whilst one half back this season decided to walk out on his Leigh contract, timed to cause the club the most upheavel another decides to sign for another 3 years, turning down confirmed SL offers in the process.

You could argue that two of them did that Harold. Josh Drinkwater must be one of the most under-stated half backs playing RL. He seems to have all the time in the world to display his skills, and it's no coincidence that, since his arrival, Martyn Ridyard is playing the best rugby of his career. To those who argued that 'Ridy' isn't up to SL, just watch the games against Salford, HKR and now Huddersfield. What a partnership!

It's a sobering thought that, if we'd carried on with our original half back pairings, we may well not be where we are now. Full marks to the owner and coach for addressing that issue!

Spot on Alan. Ridy has been missing a half back partner for a good few seasons. He now has a proper good '7" at the side of him and its evident in the performances.
