You seem to be very knowledgeable about the 'goings on' at our club will Paul Rowley confirm he left because of the growing culture? or is he only going to tell you?
For my part, I'm delighted with the performances of the former Salford lads they have transformed our pack into a formidable Unit and, once we get a strong back line returning we be quite some team!(my opinion of course)
P.S. Are you Ryan's dad or, relative perhaps?'"
Good post kirk.

But if you think of the players in and out this close season, it's not the massive overhaul you would imagine.
We had to replace Wilkes, Aspinwall and Goulden, which brings Weston, Paterson and Hansen. All improvements imo. That leaves Maitua out of the ex-Salford forwards, and it's a matter of opinion on whether he's a better option than Haggerty or Sarsfield. Based on last season I would say yes.
Chase was always going to be the big gamble, but with biggest potential reward. Unfortunately our attack was awful for 5 1/2 games of the middle 8s last year.

| Quote ="John Gilbert Reds"My view is Ryan never asked for an additional £15k and simply decided to activate a clause in his contract which allowed him to leave the club if Paul Rowley ever did.=#FF0000 Paul left the club because of the 'culture' that was beginning to evolve at the club, following the signings of certain players. Without the backing of his boss over how to eradicate this, he felt his position was untenable and left. Had the club been in great hands and all as well as it was last season, Ryan wouldn't have left, however he wants no part of the 2016 Leigh and I don't blame him.
Beaumont not only took a huge financial risk when he signed Chase, Hansen, Paterson, Maitua, Tonga etc but also an off-field risk. A lot of Leigh's current 17 were the reasons behind Salford's terrible off-field antics last season. If it pays off, great you've got Super League RL but so far you've lost a coach and your best player from 2015. Wonder boy Rangi is in rehab and nobody knows if/when he will be back.
Leigh deserve better, they came so close but in the end were so far from reaching Super League in 2016. Did they need such a huge overhaul? No.'"
You've hinted previously at this, presumably meaning the Salford lads. If Rowley was so opposed to them and thought they were bringing such a terrible 'culture' to the club I doubt he would have appointed Harrison Hansen and Cory Paterson as Vice Captains. Infact I seem to remember him singing the praises of the attitude and leadership qualities of those 2 players when the appointments were made which was not long before his departure.
I know you feel that they were an 'issue' at Salford but they seem to be settling in just fine here.

| So given it seems everyone knows where Rangi is but the Leigh club are still giving it the old cover up, is it plausible that they may also be lying over what has gone on with Brierley?

There have been a number of statements made by the club that have left me wondering what to believe, but am inclined to believe the club and Jukes' version of events on the Brierley saga.

I sincerely doubt Neil Jukes was lying over Brierley. If you speak to any one, Neil Jukes is always referred to as a very honorable man.

Nope
Is it plausible Ryans statement was written by him?
Is it plausible that Ryans agent has not already got something sorted for Ryan?
Is it plausible to think that most of the tools have now vacated this board

Just wait and see like everyone else, us included. We don't know anything more than we did when you asked yesterday or the day before or the day before that.
I usually quite enjoy your contributions Robin as it is usually at least interesting and you come on here often, not just when there is a problem like a lot of your Fev friends.
But bloody hell, you are getting boring at the minute. If something new is announced I am sure it will be discussed on this board in detail. Until then, give it a rest eh? Or at least find some new material

Either way the Chase and Liarley situations are completely separate.

| If Rowley did not want Chase then why was he meeting him in public prior to signing him, he was spotted on multiple occasions so he had to have had input on the agreement.
Tim Sheens did all he could to keep both Paterson & Hansen. Salford also offered Maitua a contract for this year, all 3 chose to get away from Salford the latter after having his wages missed whilst on loan.
Rowley & Ryan are obviously close & im sure over time more info will come out.
Although Leigh are not my favourite team and I am not always impressed with the way DB comes across in the media you cannot knock his financial support & ability to attract quality players to the club. If teams like Wakefield and Bradford had somebody like him behind them they would probably put up with the media stuff because of the players he can seemingly attract even now when Leigh are plastered in the press for the wrong reasons.
For what its worth & knowing the industry I do believe Leigh have been hard done to recently, I do believe Rowley & Ryan will come out of this in the future looking a lot worse than the Leigh club.
The old proverb of "those who live in glass houses should not throw stones" springs to mind.
I will leave it at that for now but more will transpire.

| From an outsider Nozzy, this is a gift that keeps giving.
I accept the notion that jukesy is a straight sort.... BUT, my over reliance on the rangi angle is that I'm fairly certain the club is bulls hitting on Rangi.... which then opens up the possibility they have been less than straight elsewhere.
It won't be the first time my own club has put out duff info or no info at all. We've all watched the game long enough to know we have to wade thru the BS to get anywhere near the truth.
I wouldn't bet the JGR is far off the mark.... not that it matters.
As soon as brearley gets another gig it'll go away
Leigh will win the league.
They will prob stand a better chance of replacing a crap wakey side and all this sheeite will be a distant memory....
But Rangi.... don't forget fev have history with rangi.... and on him I'm quite prepare to bore the cak out of folk....

...and to RFF. Any club putting out the type of info Leigh have re ryan which is then proven to be blatant lies would be kicked out of the RFL. Come on apply some logic and sense to this situation although it seems most opposition fans lose that once visiting our board. Even it seems you RFF

| I'm not a relative of Ryan's, infact I don't even know him. I'm just fortunate to have a decent group of contacts in the game who tell me what is going on where, if any of you recall I posted on these forums long before anyone else last year that all four Salford players would be signing for Leigh.
I don't have anything personal against Leigh, infact I want them in Super League just as much as you all do, because as a Salford fan I would prefer to travel to Leigh than Wakefield! I'm just passing on what information I know. It's sad to see how narrow-minded you all are in believing the rubbish which is coming from the club. Just as I wouldn't trust a word Marwan Koukash says, I wouldn't trust anything that comes from Derek Beaumont (Jukes included as he has proved with the Chase saga, that he is a liar and will say what he's told).
Quote ="Johnny Headline"Tim Sheens did all he could to keep both Paterson & Hansen. Salford also offered Maitua a contract for this year, all 3 chose to get away from Salford the latter after having his wages missed whilst on loan.'"
Regarding Paterson, Hansen and Chase - Tim Sheens wanted rid of all of these players. Infact, Paterson even begged to stay but Salford refused to a) match his deal at Leigh which was more and b) weren't prepared to allow Cory to do a U-turn once it became common knowledge Sheens was coming on board. You're right about Reni though, we did miss (still paid, but late) a wage of his whilst he was on loan with us.

| So Hansen and Paterson both really wanted to stay at Salford but were booted out kicking and screaming?
It wasn't that they were completely fed up of not being payed on time or only getting part of their wage on time and just wanted to get away ASAP? Or that Paterson and his family ended up in danger of being deported because Salford made such a mess of sorting his VISA problems?
Maitua, Hansen and Paterson all wanted to get out. Whether Salford wanted to keep them or not anyway I have no idea.

| Not suggesting its the case but if any player had an illness or condition they might not want their younger or distant family members to know about (especially if 100% recovery looks likely) or one that might be used by opponents/fans as a wind-up - I would fully expect the coach to cover this - its a decent thing to do. It could be done simply by 'unwell' (as in Jeffrey Barnard is Unwell). I don't personally consider this lying.

If Rangi has issues that he wants to remain private then the deafening silence from the club is absolutely how it should be, the club has a duty of confidentiality that needs to be honoured. TBH I think the speculation needs to stop, it doesn't help anyone, least of all Rangi.
If there are any health problems, let him recover in his own time and welcome him back to the family when it's time. As the previous poster suggests, we don't know it is the case and nor should we.

| We've all heard the rumors about Rangi in rehab, considering the problems he's had in the past. [size=200[uIF[/u[/size he is surely that must be a good thing, he's far better dealing with any problems he may have now before they get bigger & potentially blow up in his (& the club's) face. I'd hope the club would support him. If this is the case Rangi might not want it making public in which case the club & fans should respect his privacy & the club has acted perfectly about it. Or he may just have the sniffles & his hip is giving him jip. Whatever it is I'm looking forward to seeing him back.

This is one of the big problems. Derek isn't perfect, he has a bad habit of always having to have the last word & is far too easily wound up be people deliberately trying to wind him up at times. However he's a gift to the RL press with how they can take him out of context. I remember when the salary cap went up & Henderson at London spoke out against it, a few days later there was at a Q&A evening with the new players & Derek, someone asked about Henderson's comments & Derek made a half joking response. The next week the RL papers were full of "Beaumont hits back at Henderson!" and it was all rubbish. If you only know Derek from the way the media portray him you may very well think he's this egomaniacal, angry, argumentative bloke however actually listen to what he has to say himself in context & it's clear he's got a lot of passion for Leigh, knows his Rugby, respects his players & loves what he's doing.
I do think it's slightly amusing that so many of the journalists who've been gleefully printing any dirt on the club they could find or invent, full of opinion & conjecture about how the club is in turmoil have now changed their tune & are calling the club unprofessional for releasing statements to clarify some of their rumors. Could it be some of them knew full well they were being used by a certain player to get what he wanted made public & now don't want to be shown up.
