We scored more points with Bob on and won 36-12 against a very strong Fev side.
What you are also ignoring here is the a game plan that was probably always meant to bring a fresh Penky back on to run at and finish off a tired Fev in the last 15 mins.
That went slightly sideways with the carding of Penky but we still did it with a tired Bob Beswick.
Penky or Beswick is something I've wondered about and watched for all season. As a result I took the time to watch the final game video with a view to just that (after seeing it live and watching it once just for the fun of it). My perception on the day was weighted towards what you initially said but a game review looking at that aspect shows for me that PR got it right.

Penky is a class act and a huge reason we won the Grand Final.

PR is THE reason we won the Grand Final. He created a team, style and mind set to win games. It prevailed all season long and prevailed again in the big game with key forwards missing.
Take a bow Paul Rowley. And I'm sure he would insist that his whole coaching staff and squad take a bow with him.

I have to say that all this season in some games Penky has started and some Bob has started. In the games where either player looked to be struggling the other has come on and look how any games we won. I think that is one of the major pluses for Paul's coaching. Knowing when to switch them. Last night they were both on fire and as DP said in his commentary in was Penky's finest 20mims in a Leigh shirt. To think that Fev wouldn't have had a spell like they did is a bit daft but people do see games in different lights. My take on last night is that if we had had Spenner, TG and Sam out there it would have been a very one sided game.

this forum is suppose to be about making comments and opinions and not about insulting remarks,you would not say it to my face and you would not say it if you knew who I was.
if you disagree then disagree and be polite and not insult please.

My views simple if I was the coach and any player is happy to be taken off (or not selected) then I'd be disappointed in his attitude, he should be chomping at the bit to get out there on that field.

The original post is weird....just commenting on someone being subbed after '25 minutes' but no other aspects of the game.

I believe I politely disagreed with your comment and opinion and qualified my own with game facts and stats that support my view point. To this point you have taken a stance of "but I'm right, fact". That is your prerogative but hardly a reasoned argument that will make people change their minds.
I do agree that insults are unnecessary but using the "do you know who I am" argument is unlikely to help I'm afraid.

Seems to be Bob is used to steady things, organise players and contributes to the team playing some fantastic rugby, Penky produces those fantastic creative offloads, makes brilliant breaks and provides that magic touch, both are essential to Rowley's plan. Must admit I normally prefer to start with Bob, let teams tire out a bit then bring Penky on to run at them, although against Fev in a final starting with Penky and getting a good lead early then bringing Bob on to steady it paid off. I sit just behind the dugout at the LSV and both are always furious to be taken off, it's how they are, but Rowley knows best, as show by 25 wins out of 26 games, only 1 loss and that was when Bob was playing out of position at half back and Penky had to play the full game at hooker.

So classy player says no one will say anything to his face.... you made an appointment to see Mr Rowley yet CP.

Classy Player is entitled to an opinion and I too thought Penky should have played longer!
I'm not criticising PR, how could you? however it is Penky who provides the magic that's not to say Beswick does not play his part! Against Leeds our attack stalled when Penky went off and did again on Sunday!!
Bottom line is it was a fantastic performance from the entire squad and they should be proud of what they have achieved, I know I am! This is my sixtieth year watching Leigh and I have witnessed many superb victories and Sunday's was up there with the best!!

I don't think that Classy Player really needs to reveal who they are do they? What will anyone gain from it and if he/ she is ridiculed in public for their comments then this board should be shut down. They are entitled to their comments and did not break any AUP. Maybe Paul, but if we did have all the facts even more chaos would ensue. Also I'm sure that if a fan did ask questions, Paul would be very polite and direct with his answers. Paul himself would agree and has openly said that he learned loads from Tony Smith about subjects like dealing with players, fans and press.

Can't believe this is the longest post final thread,the comments were OK and though I disagree with them, that does not mean they were not valid.I did not like the "if you knew who I was you would not say that to my face" because you could say that about half the comments on every forum in the world,thats the nature of the beast.
