Isn't the corner flag out of the equation whilst scoring?

Yeah I think the dive was the only way to get around the would be tackler, in fact I think he jumped over the top of him. I commented at the time that it was typical Leigh to come up with a try like that with the pass to Higson missed out a few men when had we gone to the left hand side we had a five on three overlap

| Thought Goulden and Wilkes were outstanding.
Hopkins looked a bit more like it in his 2nd stint
That is a fantastic pack at this level
Good to see pace all across the back line - Ridyard excluded
Something would have to go badly wrong for that team not to be to at the end of the regular season - there are quality players who cant get near he 17

Agreed Alan, best team I have seen play Leigh at the LSV 'with ball in hand'...amazed how dangerous Paul Cooke is, when runs near the line, looks like creating a try every time. Aged 33, he is some player albeit at this level.
He is also 'backs coach' at Doncaster RUFC, surely a matter of time before he gets his own role in SL.
Scoreline flattered us, we scored some awesome tries I know, but a bit harsh on Donny !

Any need for that mate, can always rely on a prat like you to have a dig about a player of an 'unbeaten side' after 13 games. When Martin doesn't play for us, see the difference, definitely not better than without him.

| Reckon Riddy will be the first to admit he isn't the quickest, and he doesn't need to be when he can shift the ball on to Brierley, Kay, Higson, Armstrong........and Hoppy!

Cheers mate, can see why your men are 2nd in the league very tough opposition, probably the only team in the league this year that has come to LSV not to fight but to have a good game of rugby. Good luck for rest of season

Not sure about next season, he looked very small when he came on. Had a good game though and was good to see him bossing the experienced players around, as he should be doing as hooker. He's definitely one to watch for the future though.
Was a good attacking game from both sides today and it was good to get a big win against a top side. Can see why they're doing so well.

Bit harsh, North Wales played some decent attacking rugby.

| I thought Foster looked tiny to the rest when he came on as it's not something you can necessarily notice when virtually stood on the touchline at U20's games....and then he came straight on and made a tackle on one of their forwards! The biggest man can be brought down with the right technique. Or failing that, just dive in front of them Acton-style.

Rob Burrow is not a big lad but he is one hell of a player. I honestly think the fact that Lewis Foster isn't a big lad is the reason Saints released him.
They have made a big mistake imo as he is a natural RL player' very quick' can tackle'feerless and not afraid to voice his opinions to his team mates. Mark my words.
Next week's game at Sheffield is vital because if we win that I am convinced we will finish top.
I said after this season friendlies that this is the best Leigh side for over 30 seasons and although I think our left wing side is defensively dodgy at times we still have the ability to compensate more than adequately for that. Sort that out and who knows.

Very Mature - Wasn't particularly a dig, hence the - he's not quick, or would you say different. Clearly he is more of an organiser and lets the rest of the backline build on what he does.
You don't have to be quick to dictate a game - both Ridyard and Cooke showed that yesterday

It was a top drawer try by AJ & TBH all our tries scored yesterday were class. A 30 point gap against the Dons who were 2nd in the league at the time is very impressive & it shows how good we are considering our recent fixtures. Foster did well in his brief time a 9 & it's certainly great to see the players we have breaking through to the 1st team from the under 20's who have been immense this year. I do think if we had penky playing we probably would have scored another 3 tries maybe more if AJ didn't go off injured. I thought our best player yesterday was Goulden he was outstanding & should of got MOM IMO. If we sort our sliding defence on our left side we should see a near perfect performance but without rectifying it we're still extremely hard to be by anyone in our league. With Penky & Barlow back in contention for Sunday we should be very strong again bring on the seagulls

Iain , I agree for me Tommy Goulden was MOM , his tackling was immense , coupled with strong running , again Spenner and Emmitt always impress me , we did score some very good tries , and its good to watch this kind of Rugby .Fosters time will come , we do need Penky for the next 3 League games , our defence at times is lacking a touch , but Donny are no mugs and played some decent Rugby , to win by 30 points is good .
Next week at Owlerton it will be a bit different , the last time I was there the Pitch was a bit of a nightmare , long grass and bumpy , ours is like a Snooker table , and the South Sea boys will test us , im still predicting a close game and a win for the Leythers .

| Just watched the highlights and really enjoyed some of the tries.
Once again it seems like Paul R has the ability to pinpoint what is needed at half time for us to come through a tough game as victors. It's not so long ago that some people used to say that certain coaches had Paul's number and that we needed a better coach. It now seems quite obvious that all that was needed was a couple of new tools and a little more time. Well done so far this season Paul Rowley, and I have no doubt you are the man for the job no matter how tough games get, and no matter how high we go in the future
I predict more of the same next week. Sheff will come at us like a ton of bricks, but the boys will hold strong, get a pointer or two at the half, then show their grit, fitness and desire to get the win.

VL you are right about Rowls you do need the tools to do any job , try putting a plug on with a Spoon , Paul has shown his critics how wrong they were about him , and is developing into a very good Coach , along with being a very decent young man .
