As has been pointed out on here Coyle was in the Barrow team that Saturday night when we lost by a Cricket score .

It was James Coyle (his brother) who got a pile of tries against us for Barrow that night.

How many written off players have Leigh signed in the past few seasons that have turned out to be cracking players?

Gallagher, Gardner, Mills, Ostick, Goulden, Nanyn, Bibey off the top of my head.

Either playing in front of fans that will give players low on confidence a chance makes a difference, or playing in stadiums where they can't breathe is a hinderance.

People would prefer to 'bag' players than wait and see Jonny.

As for Coyle im prepared to give him a chance , as i do with everyone who puts on a Leigh shirt , they are LEIGH , players then and get my support .

I've always thought he would be a Leigh player one day, as soon as PR got on the coaching ladder. I think PR sees a bit of himself in Coyle, a cheeky, opinionated, wind up merchant that gets in people's faces on the field. You could see the nods and winks between them every time we battered Widnes so there's a lot of recent history to remember there!

would suggest he,s been brought in as cover anyway coz ridyard will be 6 brierley will be 7 penky 9 and beswick 13 he will cover those positions

Not disapointed with this signing at all,he's a young lad with plenty experiance and it seems like he knows were the try line is.
Just sign an experianced ball playing prop to go with parker and ostick, and things will look good.

The lad is coming in on the back of a year long full time Super League season.

I think he is a very shrewd aquisition to the squad if I am perfectly honest.

For me ,if ther is a down side to this signing, its probably going to be ant nicholson who slips down the pecking order.

I think he will be played at scrum half.

Our squad seems solid (without DC's ) but a fast winger would be a nice addition.

All down to wether or not we get injuries imo.

I think that would be a waste of a sub spot TBH Frank,when you've got Penky,beswick,Coyle,Riddy and probably Brierley on bench
