and some are biting , or you have some issues with Paul R ,the lad has done a very good job this season , some of our squad are for me average players , but remember in the past how we have performed ,i think the Current Directors have done a very good job also , just look at some of the performances , in the past we have put in , our Directors are MUCH better now .

You said previously that you wanted Rowley out and be replaced by John Kear yet his Batley side were battered by Sheffield (46-16?) a matter of weeks ago. Does that not mean, then, that John Kear is "out of his depth" also?

No problems with the current ones but a few that who are no longer with us, would do a great job too,so I disagree with your statement Charlie, Derek was good with the media, others dealt with the academies and signed up great players like Hilly and Taylor I could go on.

One more to add to the equation. Two of the back row were only brought in late in the season and have done very well. Messers Thornly and Henderson. Our pack has changed so much this year and to keep the team playing like it has done, Paul and his staff deserve a big pat on the back. Loosing Laithwaite to HKR was bad enough but to loose our two best props also.

Strength in depth is whats cost us this season TBH, as been said look at who didnt play last night - Laithwaite,Goulden,Hopkins,Henderson and Parker...........thats a lot of fire power to be missing.
Paul as done a superb job this season with a small squad (due to money issues)...........next season we will have a bigger squad and a stronger 1 also - things will be just as good if not better so please get off the coaches back as its not called for.

There's been some 5hite written over the years but we have the gold medal winner here. We should be offering Paul a medal for what he's achieved and a contract extension.

Somebodys wrote wrong team selection??? We only had 17 available players.

We will win the treble next year. Paul's building his squad and won't have to suffer the same difficulties this off season.

His squad selection for me was bad, Nicholson 13, McGilvary on the bench............. I won't repeat myself though, I hope Paul has a good season next year, if not, its time to get rid, as hes cost us a final spot the other day with his mismanagement and tactics

Though I'll never be a PR fan I can put up with him , but lets not forget he's still a novice coach who hopefully will learn from his mistakes before next season .

I hope we have a good think about this DC fiasco because when we were short due to injuries they were either unavailable or not played in enough games to qualify , it's a friggin farce .

I want us to hang fire a bit before making any new signings because once the SL clubs have finished arsing about scrapping their under 23's sides in favour of an under 19's league next year there's going to be a lot of Championship quality players looking for clubs and hopefully the better ones will be wanting to hook up with the top teams like us .

And I hope we've got our up and coming young players like Josh Ward on a contract so we don't start becoming a feeder club for SL clubs , and we get some payment for them if they leave .

I'll be honest, when we appointed Rowley I thought the worst,

but this year has been so far ahead of what most of us expected after last winters turmoil it's untrue.

Last night we got battered up front, which happens when you're best front rowers are injured, not just your best front rowers but the best front row in the league. That's why their half backs had so much space to get the ball out to the flanks. Did The Watcher and Mookachaka not see that Duffy was playing prop?

I agree Rowley got the team selection wrong, with only 17 fit players why didn't he get his boots out?

As for a 'proper' coach, did a 'proper' coach not get stuffed last year and 2010 by Sheffield far more convincingly, with a full team?

If anyone asks someone in the know about Gardner (who we were all raving about for 2/3rds of the season) he got injured in the game against Halifax-the cup one, and has been playing with that injury all year.

And Nicco and McGilvary were our only fit players Mookachaka, what would you have done?

I agree with leytherjay, strength in depth cost us, which is what happens with no planning for the season, which isn't anyones fault.

Our squad for next year looks amazing, I don't think anyone can touch us if we sign a couple more players.

There are indications on the Barrow Forum that Andy Ballard is joining Leigh next season.

Poor referee decisions cost us dearly leading to at least 3 Seagull tries and cost us at least 2 of our own as well , but other general ref blunders cost us stacks of possession in dangerous areas .

I'm not a ref basher at all, but the knock on in the last minute was a big blow, as for the touch judges-one of them should have seen McNally get chinned off their best player too.

God I hope so.....this lad (like Bracek) as been a stand out player in that side and would be 1st choice winger for me.

Let's stick with the ones signed up and fill the under 23s with young players

Think of the u23 team we could have with all the SL reserve players that will be released............their loss could prove to be the making of Leigh for the future.......could end up with a lot of SL fringe players in our U23`s that can be used to cover injuries.

Things are looking good for us.
