Mooka i respect your views and you are entitled to them , but i think Leigh have a very happy and positive team spirit in the dressing rooms , next season will be no different , in fact maybe better ,Penky is coming home , he wants to do well , i dont know the lad personally , but he seems a level headed young man , maybe Aspers has had his problems off the field , so have many others , but Aspers played very well against Hudds last week , made a couple of good breaks .

Our team next year will be much better , i dont think about what we look like on paper ,i like a flutter , and will back the Centurions for glory next year ,CHARLIE KNOWS

I think we have done well this season. I think if we had had a full strength side last night we would have won.

I am going off what I have seen this season.

Tell me. Why do you think the team spirit in our side is so obviously strong. Do you think we just got lucky in that department ?

Even last night after being 26 - 4 down we came within a whisker of winning.

I just think you have personal issues with PR.

I think that team should of beat Sheffeild, and Paul Rowley is at fault with his bad selection policies..... He's the head coach, he makes the decisions, he's to blame........... he's done OK this year, but nothing spectacular, hopefully we will improve next year, if not.......... time to find a new coach

PR had no option but to pick the team he did last night,maybe a few substitutions could have happened sooner but what I find encouraging is a few of the 17 who played also carried slight injuries,yet everyone gave 110% and never gave up.
Rarely do you see RL teams flat on their backs at the blowing of the whistle but every Leigh player was lat night,eveyone gave their all and everyone was gutted,as a fan you can't really ask for much more.

The final would of been a game too far in my opinion,great to get there but I think Fev would of been too strong and I'm not too dissapointed at not getting there.

Next season I would go all guns blazing for the NRC,the league and the GF,this is the season that counts if we really do have SL aspirations.

PR wasnt to blame as there was only 17 players available. However those 17 were more than capable of beating sheffield. We seem to have developed a "small club" mentality, and it seems some fans ddidnt even think we were worthy of being in a semi final, this is probably the reason we will never beat featherstone. We shouldnt settle for being beat in the semi final, just beacause of where we were at the start of the season. The team was packed full of ex super league talent and we have some of the best players in the league. We should have won that match, its no good saying we have come along way. We were in a position where we were 80mins away from a grand final and we seemed to freeze, again!

A poor Sheffeild team beat a Leigh team who were not coached properly, I don't think Leigh went a game to far, I think Rowley went a game to far............. hopefully he will learn from the experience

Sheffield were at full strength and have a good pack and some very good threequarters.

I still think we are better than them though when we have a full strength squad.

Leigh were very poor last night. Sheffield weren't crash hot either, especially considering their performance against Fax last weekend. They took their chances and deserved to win.

They scored off Leigh cocking the first kick off up, off a length of the field break off a poor finish to a set and in the last minute. There's 18 points that could have easily been cut out.

The team 1-17 should have been able to match and beat Sheffield at home last night. Why when short on front row forwards and playing with a makeshift pack, were we playing dumb one man rugby against a pack including a firing and fully fit Higgins, Henderson, Stringer, Szostak, Knowles etc?

I'm no coach but I enough knowledge to see that early on Ridyard put a bomb up to the Sheffield full back who looked a bit uneasy and dropped it. For the rest of the half Ridyard finished with a grubber or a kick along the floor which the full back ate up all night long and scored off. In the second half Ridyard put three more bombs up, two were caught but gave enough time for the chasers to get to and tackle the most dangerous man on the field without him causing a threat. The other was again was dropped. Should have peppered him all night OR instead of kicking across field to Littler (who failed to take the ball on most occasions), kick to Gardner who's come up with tries all season from the same move! Including Pownall's last week which Gardner has to take a massive assist for!

Leigh played well for 5 minutes in total last night and still nearly beat them, imagine if they'd played with that bit more spark for 10/20 minutes.

All things considered over the last few months, of course it's been a hugely successful season but last night was a poor team performance and there's no getting away from that.

all played SL. Plus Brown, Turner, Szostak who all came through good academies so missed out on first team and the three South Sea Islanders. Not exactly a poor side lacking experience. Brambani and Knowles, been around the block too.

Coulda won last night with correct refereeing decisions and a luckier bounce of ball. Mind you, first 60 seconds pretty awful!
Already looking forward to next season, but we need a bit bigger squad- another 5? Should include a couple of "monster" type Yorkshire forwards!
(With Parker,Hoppy and TG would have beaten Sheff easily)
