I like this post! We need to find songs to build up the atmosphere, we need an anthem . Something that gets everybody up and bouncing .

Leigh fans should now pull in the same direction, we aren't just a club we are a family. Role on the fans forum, see what is said then we can get things sorted

why the BIG secret ?

We've got threads on here discussing new kits for next season. Give the lad a break. It's beginning to feel like bullying and I'm not going to put up with that kind of behaviour with somebody who is doing their best for our club.

Sure, we have more pressing matters, but there are other people dealing with these short term issues. Maybe for once, instead of focussing all our resources on the short term, lets have a little more medium term thinking.

My opinions on match day atmosphere are along the lines of what others have said. More away fans = better atmosphere. And the music after tries does drown out the singing when it's most likely to happen, straight after a score. I've thought this since the music was introduced in the 90's, and there was an immediate downturn in singing at the games.

A couple of things: -

James is obviously an enthusiastic person, who has the same interest at heart as the rest of us - Leigh Centurions. I've suggested to him that he perhpas needs to talk to Trevor/the PSG first, before broadcasting his ideas on here. That way, he won't suffer the reaction that everybody gets on here, at some time. Nobody on the PSG, especially Trevor, will ridicule any idea. So, James, please go and see Trevor at the club.

I'm not a fan of the loud music, especially when I'm trying to hold a conversation. But many folk seem to like it as part of the atmosphere.

What if that 'music' was, at times, a recording of the North Standers singing some of their more 'encouraging' songs? (i.e. NOT the 'flute' song!

)

Why not for us old timers bring back enter the gladiators, who remembers that.

Maybe, but those guys in the North stand do create the atmosphere - no denying that.

Well I can't believe such negative posts ,we have enough of those posts on other threads so if you don't like what James is trying to do then don't get involved in the thread not every thread has to be about the demise of the club some of us want /need cheering up a bit so leave him alone I for one am very grateful in what he is trying to do and hopefully after reading what some have written he won't decide to give up ! Carry on James we don't all have the same views on what you are trying to achieve ,you are getting involved in the area that you feel best will help the club and are leaving the other important stuff to those that know what they are doing .

It's not bullying - see it as constructive feedback, which he doesn't seem to be listening to.

If he annoys so many Leigh fans , imagine what he would do trying to persuade third parties to support the club?!

I apologize if this seems harsh but we are not in a situation where we have the luxury of the equivalent of St John's Ambulance trying to perform open heart surgery.

We need people who can speak with clarity, purpose and vision who are very clear and upfront about what they bring to the table, rather than continue to make very general statements.

The sooner we get communication on this PSG the better as far as I am concerned - who is leading it, what are the aims, what do they plan to do, how do they ensure they all stay on message? As I am overseas I will have to rely on t'internet to find out...

Like ive put elsewhere Leighlife (you will have to register and declare your interest in the broadcasts) are hoping to relay the fans forum meeting live, I'm away but our Dave's going to film it and I would hope our Andy will be putting it up on BLIP.TV as soon as he can after the event.
