Just bought 4, so late, thanks to my mate being on bl00dy holiday, and not knowing if him and his nephew are going or not. So the 'crapper' seats for us - still, better than us not being there.

Once again, I question the reasoning behind taking the game to Blackpool. Last time we were there, in the final, the stadium looked like a bombed out site in Beirut - a wonderful national advert for RL! If the capacity is restricted to 9,000, why take a major (in our league) final there in the first place?

Look at the sponsors. They advertise a day out in Blackpool all over the rail network. I'm happy with Blackpool, it's a break from the norm and if it's good enough for Man Utd, Arsenal and all the other wendyball billionaires it's good enough for two little Rugby League towns from the north.

Blackpool all the way for me Alan,shame about the limited att but it should be great day/weekend for everyone.

If the att is back to normal soon i would also take the grand final there.

Totally agree, Blackpool despite all its tackiness makes it feel like an occasion, any other venue and people would just turn up for the game.

Don't remember them limiting the attendance to 9,000 when any of those teams played there though.

Why is it a 9,000 capacity anyway when the only closed stand holds 5,000 in a 16,000 capacity stadium?

Think the blocks immediately next to the East Stand are closed as well (plus there will be seats not used for wherever the big screen is).

It's all bull. Loads of tickets left at the RFL. Attendance will be around 7500 with lots of gaps dotted around the stadium. You'll still be able to get tickets on the day at the Blackpool ticket office.

Totally out of our control as fans , at least Sky can't blame us or fax for a lower attendance , when it will be down to whatever availability the ground has chosen , still won't look too fantabulous on Sky with the gaps . Us leythers will have to brighten the place up a bit

No, but they did play all of their only premiership season with a temporary stand, which is the stand being redeveloped. And why would they with guaranteed sell outs and big profit margins mid season? What do you want them to do, wait until after the NRC final to redevelop their own ground?

Fred to me Blackpool is Pure Gold , ilove the place , cant get enough of it , im staying at the Cliffs for the Final , but Ribby Hall ,is Superb , believe me .

As for the 9000 limit (it is a shame if people miss out), but isn't it good publicity for this comp if the sell out boards go up (thats if they do)? Rather than sell a couple hundred more and then thousands of empty seats on show because they couldn't be sold.

If you havent got your tickets best get them today or Monday morning as they have to send back all unsold tickets Monday.

Nowhere else has the novelty factor that Blackpool has. I bet this factor has swung 25% of everyones party. If it was Rochdale/Bury/Warrington/Widnes 4 of our 10 would definately have not come.

Its the day out for them with a bit of rugby attached rather than like us rugby fans it being a cup final with a day out to boot.

Its the first I have read about the tickets going back after Monday, if true, and I have no reason to doubt this, was this publicised in the Journal/Reporter etc.. to try to inform the "masses"?
