The two TV games would be Leeds-Crusaders and Halifax-Bradford, I'd have thought.

That was my initial thought - but I suppose it depends on how the RFL advise the Beeb on which match would be a better advert for the game.

They either want to push the expansionist dream, and the 21st Century facilities - in which case it would be us.......or they want to 'big up' the "Yorkshire Premier League" (aka The Chamionship once Widnes get elevated!!) - in which case it'll be ferrets, cobbles, and Black Dyke Mills band playing the Hovis theme at the Shay!!

Is the Shay currently up to hosting this match with the end stand not open due to work needed ?

If theres a big interest from the bradford lot they will need to make it all ticket I would have thought.

We'll give Catalans a game, especially if it's wet and they are still in their current form without Tommy Bosc.

If Bosc plays and we lose, we get to see Menzies, Greenshields, Bosc, Sa and Dureau play RL.

It's a win-win.

Trees and forest, trees and forest, Rugby League outside of the top flight isn't about what happens on the field (unfortunately) a result today will show that in a few days time), we lose big time because it's all about finances in this league and we will lose heavily, it's okay seeing some of the best players but at what cost? or will people be happy if Leigh put the prices up for this one game to Super League prices? No they wouldn't so it will be another financial disaster for us.

Oh well nowt we can do about that. All we can do is get behind the team and hope for the best Fred. We know the game is ran worse than a tuck shop but there's fook all we can do about it.

My god you two are a pesamistic couple of owd gets! If we'd drawn Wigan and sold it out would you have been cheesed off too because they got in free? It's an open draw and you can't pick and choose who you want, just enjoy the occasion of watching some really talented players you havn't seen before play against our lads.

To be fair Starbug that's quite a good call. Widnes or maybe Fax. Other than playing them away it probably is a pretty bad draw, but as a fan I can take plenty of positives from it. I get to see Bosc (hopefully) as I think he's a genius. Also the last time most of these players played at the LSV they had a mare.

I would say that this is a rubbish draw for us but one we might, just might pull off. Ours and the Fax vs Bradfot game have the best two chances for an upset. After this weekend the boys confidences must be skyhigh.

So it isn't the worst draw then, if we've got a chance, a glimmer of hope? That's what makes the cup so great. It's a damn sight better draw than when we used to draw Sheffield away every year and get stuffed.
