Someone on the fax board has contacted the rfl and they've told him
a decision will be made at the end of the week with regards to the draw for the next round.

Non Relegation league clubs are not in the next round.

To make money out of the Challenge cup we need to have 2 home draws in the next 2 Challenge Cup rounds and then draw the Pies or Wire at the LSV always assuming the last two clubs I have mentioned make it through their first Challenge cup tie.

Championship season ticket holders get the 3rd round free, Super League season ticket holders get the 4th round free. There is a certain amount of compensation from the RFL to make up for lost earnings in the event of taking bugger all over the gate against a Super League team in the 4th round, but if memory serves me right it's only a couple of grand and as such I think we'd be much better served if you could get through the next two rounds before drawing a Super League team.

No mention of that on the leaflet i got when i picked my season ticket up.

Financially i think your right.personally speaking though,i'd sooner get it out the way then we can concentrate on the league and NR cup.

Yeah, but the point is, that due to the season ticket 'free CC game' scenario you wouldn't make as much drawing a SL team in the 4th round as the 5th. Best bet would be Miners in the next round, then Widnes at home in the 4th round, then pies or wire in the 5th.....then after that I'm not bothered who we draw in the quarters and semis!!

The draw for the next round is Tues 15th Feb, 5pm. In this weeks league express.

Thats interesting. For the League Express to be able to print this date and time they needed to know earlier than the e-mail I received from the RFL, who said a date and time was yet to be confirmed???

more like the venue is tbc, and the RFL don't want to announce one without the other. Arranging the date/time fits in with media organisations' schedules. The RFL has been getting creative with its draw venues.... HMS Victory last year!

Might be drawn in Andover or Middle Wallop with the Army winning through to the next round

Personnaly always preferred the draw to be done after match at a venue that has just staged a match from the previous round , with fans of the winning club in attendance
