Agreed. Even a couple of players in support might have meant a quick play the ball and a waltz over the line. Great run from Riddy though and he did well to get as far as he did considering he had two tacklers on his tail for at least 30m.

Riddy must be our fastest back, deserved a try for the effort. In Sl it would have been finished off by a winger and would've been the try of the season. None of our wingers were within 20 yards of him when he got tackled. If he'd have gone low 5 yds from line he's have slid over and scored one of the best tries at the LSV. He'll be the player of the season for me now he's fully fit.

Originally Salford speccies were to be in South Stand but a series of frozen pipes and various other weather initiated issues meant that they were instead seated in West South.

Can you toe the "South Stand wasn't open because Salford have bugger all away support" party line please, Andy?

Looked about 350-400 of them. A lot more than any Championship side brings to our place.

I was a bit surprised we weren't in there as our support has been accused of 'going South' several times

all sounds very encouraging. I don't care who Salford put on the pitch, I assume (as no pro player deliberately sets out to lose) that Salford expected to win this game with the players selected. We also had people that did not play (Govin, Paul for two)

We seem to have a good, young, local, bunch of players. Hopefully this will get the fans coming back in numbers.

From reading seem't like Leigh maybe relying on a few more youngsters to lead the way next year which is good to see and by the sounds of it they are doing well... team on paper reading certainly seem's a bit more exciting with plenty of options too. Littler in the backrow, I think the LSV will be an entertaining place in 2011! Maybe certain Champs could be a bit far as Fax have recruited well IMO after a great last two years, hopefully we'll be stronger and more consistent and we can have a really open Championship

Friendlies mean nothing to be honest. Dont get carried away. I went to day and it was a good performance but nothing to write home about.

To put it into perspective Leeds lose many friendlies but generally win when it matters.

well ian i can concur with frank, i was really impressed, yes there are clearly loads of scope for improvements, like some soft defence for their second try, but overall i can see alot of promise in this squad.

To say top 4 is more realistic mate.Depends how injuries go and the squad to be honest.It is a tight league, so i would never bet with a league where the salary cap is so low.Even teams like Batley will have a strong team, but if was not for the cap they be nowhere near teams like Widnes.
